"Are you sure this'll work?" Louie asked hesitantly as Gosalyn stood next to him.

Louie was standing over a cliff, in his swim trunks, and Gosalyn was standing next to him, her hands on her hips and a wide smile on her beak.

"Absolutely positive." She chuckled and punched him in the shoulder. "You'll be getting Y/n's attention in no time."

"...by jumping off a cliff into water?"

"Not just any water, Louie! Crystal clear water from the Lost Falls, said to be made of tears from anyone that's ever been or felt lost."

"Then why am I jumping into tears?!"

Gosalyn snorted. "C'mon Lou, your great uncle is Scrooge McDuck! How do you not know the legend of Lost Falls?"

"We've never been here before?"

"Alright, listen. So as I said before Lost Falls is rumored to be made of tears of the lost, amiright? Well they say that anyone that jumps in it will no longer be lost, but be completely sure of themselves. Absolutely confident! And that's what Y/n needs in a man."

Louie raised an eyebrow at Gosalyn. "Hey Gos? I really don't think jumping in this is going to help."

"Louie-"

"Can't I just wade in?"

"I wanted to video you doing it!"

Louie gulped, staring at the clear water below. Did he need confidence? Even if the legend wasn't real, would Y/n find the jump cool? What was the point of this again?

"Gos, I really appreciate your help, but how is this going to make me seem better than Huey? I'm tellin' you, I think he's trying to steal my girl."

"Impossible. Huey is a loyal brother."

She was right.

"That's why you need confidence!"

Was she right?

Louie took a deep breath and looked down again. He could do this... Right?

"You can do this, my dude!" Gosalyn gave him two thumbs up and raced down to where she could film the epic jump.

As Louie prepared himself for the dive, he shook out his hands, feeling a little anxious... Actually, a lot anxious.

He gritted his teeth and spotted Gosalyn waving at him. She pointed to her phone and gestured for him to jump.

Louie put up a hand, signaling that he saw and was ready.

He wasn't.

He stepped back a little, feeling his heart lurch in his chest.

Was he actually doing this?

...yes, yes he was.

He ran and jumped, feeling everything float for just a few seconds, and then he dropped like a stone.

Unable to keep from yelling, Louie shrieked as he neared the water.

He heard the wind whistling as he fell, closer and closer to the ground-er-water... Was he actually falling towards water?

Louie looked down quickly, seeing the water coming nearer to him.

He gasped, and then belly flopped into the water.

When he came back up, he groaned, holding his stomach.

Gosalyn was howling with laughter. She snorted and guffawed, holding her own stomach.

Louie sighed and swam to shore. He climbed up and laid on his back.

Gosalyn was still chuckling when she made her way over to him. "That was a flop." She smirked.

Louie didn't answer, not feeling any different.

Gosalyn wasn't paying attention as she rewatched the video she took, giggling as she listened to her friend smash into the water, and hearing herself laugh obnoxiously loud.

Her laugh was a laugh that everyone started laughing with, because it was hilarious.

Louie stood up eventually, stretching. "Alright, let's go back home."

Gosalyn nodded, looking away from her phone, a slight frown on her face. Louie didn't mention it as he got dressed back into a sweatshirt.

"You think Y/n is gonna like it?" Louie asked, as they walked back toward the city.

Gosalyn smiled at him, nodding. Her smile didn't reach her eyes. "Yeah of course."

Louie was a bit frustrated with what had happened, so he growled lowly. "How? How do you know? Why do you say 'of course'?"

Gos looked away, and then back at his glare. "Well, it got my attention, so why wouldn't it get hers?"

Louie blinked. "Oh." Is all he responded with.

Well, of course it got Gosalyn's attention. She was the one who thought of it, it was super extreme, so yeah. Duh... Right?

Louie glanced at his friend and noted the light dusting of red on her cheeks.

Did she...?

No.

Of course not.

That's why Louie didn't try with her.

Gosalyn likes guys who aren't lazy and immature and clingy.

She liked guys who liked adventure.

Louie was terrified of that stuff, ever since he was little.

Anyway, Louie and Gosalyn got back to McDuck Manor and Gos followed Louie in, and they both went to the dining room.

Louie was fiddling with his phone, Gosalyn had just sent him the video.

Gosalyn on the the other hand, she was trying to shake the image of Louie out of her head. Why did she even-no. She rolled her eyes and got up from her seat.

Louie continued doing whatever the fuck on his phone, so Gosalyn went to go get Y/n.

"Gos wait."

"What?" She turned around.

"I don't need this video."

Gosalyn's eyebrows knitted together. "What? Why?"

"Because, like you said, it got your attention, right?"
