"We're going as a group." You heard Lena saying, but you weren't really listening. You were too focused on studying...

You were staring at a piece of paper, but it wasn't just any random class. It was History, and you started to get confused on some dates.

"Hey Y/n, you could wear that new dress. Or maybe your suit?" Dewey suggested, but again, you weren't listening. So, you didn't know what he was talking about.

"What?" You asked, looking up from your paper. "What're you talking about?"

"Homecoming!" Webby shouted.

You recognized the name, remembering Donald and Della talking about it when they were younger. "That's... A dance, right?"

"Indeed." Huey nodded. "Some people go in pairs, or as a group, like we are."

"Cool." You smiled, then turned your attention back to the paper in front of you. While you studied, you ate some apple slices, occasionally dipping them in the sweet caramel dip the school had provided.

"Are we gonna do a color scheme?" Dewey asked, nothing holding back his excitement.

"Nah." Lena waved her hand. "What would be the fun in that? We should all he totally different colors. Like a rainbow." She winked at Violet.

Violet blushed and rolled her eyes.

At this point, you had abandoned your paper, now more interested in the affairs of a group dance. And Lena and Violet's behavior.

"...alright, I'm gonna ask a question, and you guys cannot judge me, no matter how much you want to." You began, feeling a little embarrassed.

"Okay, shoot." Huey replied.

You pointed at Lena and Violet. " 'Kay, so I know that being gay is a thing, right? People like their own gender and that's really awesome. LP is with Drake, right? So... Are you guys together? Is that allowed? I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't hate, it's actually really beautiful, but-"

"Yeah, gay marriage is legal, and yeah they're together." Louie answered, still engrossed in his phone.

"Oh. Hey, congrats!" You smiled at them.

They looked away from you, and that struck you as odd.

"...did I ask something wrong?" You asked, feeling terrible. "I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to, I didn't know. I-I-" You stood up abruptly. "I'm gonna go."

"Wait-!" Huey called, but you rushed away, carrying your bag, now filled with loose papers you'd been studying.

"Why am I so stupid?" You asked yourself, trying to find a place to be. You saw a closet that was cracked open, and without a second thought, you went in.

It was a janitors closet, and honestly it smelled really disgusting, but... You pulled out the phone that Donald had gotten you and dialed his number.

"Hello?"

"Hey Don."

"Hi, Y/n, what's going on? Is everything okay?"

"I said something so stupid today." You said, on the verge of tears.

"Oh... What happened?"

As you explained the situation, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby were looking for you.

A few minutes back, Webby watched as you went, and then turned to her 2 friends. "...why did you do that?" She asked, genuinely confused. "She did say that she was going to sound stupid. You do know that Y/n has been in the past all her life, right? I told you? We all did?"
