Naging busy buong maghapon namin, maraming customers, buti nalang nakaya namin, tumutulong din mga boss namin sa pagca-cashier. 'Di rin nakaligtas si Haku sa mata ng mga babaeng uhaw na uhaw sa kanya. In fact, siya na bagong manager namin ang dahilan kung bakit biglang dumami ang customer namin. Tuwang-tuwa ang kasama kong nagkagusto din sa kanya.
Kasalukayan akong nagbibihis sa locker room namin, tapos na ang shift ko. Malapit na din maggabi.
"Oh, you're going, Jash?" Napatigil ako't tumingin kay Ma'am V. She's currently typing on her laptop.
"Uhm, yes po."
She flinched and paused, and slowly lifted her gaze at me, then, she raised her brow at me. "You're almost two years working with us, and I've been telling you to cut the 'po' thing. Aigoo! Jashie."
Tumawa nang mahina si Ma'am M.A at umupo katabi niya, "'Wag mo namang e-pressure si Jashca, girlie. You know she's hella serious."
Tumingin ito sa kaibigan. "I am not pressuring her," at tumingin sa 'kin. "At ikaw, 'wag ka ngang ubod ng seryoso, live your life happily!"
I remain muted, then someone from behind me barged in.
"I think, that's how she live her life, Doc Véigh." Haku said, smiling, but eyes only fixated at me. He slowly walked towards me.
Napakunot ang noo ko at tumingin sa mga mata niya, seeing that he now wears a longsleeve polo but the sleeves were rolled up, tucked in a levi's pants instead of an uniform of our coffee shop.
Don't tell me...
He suddenly brushed his long silky pitch-black hair by his bare hand and it made all of us stare at him. I saw my bosses mumbling indistinctly while smiling ear to ear, taking glances at us. Haku stood beside me and face our bosses. I can even hear my co-employees fussing and giggling while looking at us. I won't deny that Haku is really attractive, he'll attracts plenty of girls in just one smile.
But not me.
"Anyways, Haku, how old are you ba?" Pag-iibang topic ni Ma'am V na nakangisi. TF?
Mahinang sinapak naman ni Ma'am M.A ang kaibigan niya.
"Shut up, girlie." Ani na nakangisi.
"What?" And they both laughed.
I remain muted and slightly lifted the side of my lip.
"You two can go now," Ngiting sabi ni Ma'am M.A
Pagkasabi na pagkasabi niya ay agad nag-bow. "Maraming salamat." At umalis sa harap nila.
I heard them gasped. I opened the glass door and hurriedly walked out. Nang makalayo-layo ay dinahan-dahan ko na ang lakad ko. Umupo muna ako sa waiting shed. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called Eliose.
"Yeoboseyo?"
"Nakauwi ka na?"
"Oh, Jash! I answered the call without looking at my phone, and yep, I'm done with my plate. Ikaw? Pauwi ka na?"
