I Love You

Chapter: 11

I felt my face heat up as I turned around. I can't believe I kissed Rhett! I felt a spark. I looked down.

"I'm sorry Rhett, I don't know what came over me. I don't know why I did it." I told him. But, I did know. I did it cause I loved him. I loved him so much. I missed him, and I just wanted to express my love at that point. I didn't want to hold it back anymore. I looked up. Rhett was shocked.

"Link, I don't understand... How could you not know why you kissed me like that. Link, I'm not mad that you did it, I just... I just want to know how you feel about me. I want to know if that kiss was real..." Rhett stated.

Tears rolled down my face. Maybe I was a baby... Why am I crying? Stop crying! I sighed in frustration and crashed on the bed with my face in the pillow.

"Link?" Rhett sounded worried. I heard Rhett lock the door and walk over to the bed. He laid beside me. As I lifted up my head he kissed my forehead. "Link..." Rhett said. I sat up, and so did Rhett.

"Yes Rhett?" I sniffed. Rhett sighed and looked down.

"Before you kissed me, I never knew how I truly felt about you... I felt a spark, Link. I did. I don't know if you felt it. But, I think I'm in love with you, Link." Rhett looked up and half smiled. I looked down and got off the bed. I looked out the window.

"Link? Please say something... I expressed my feelings to you, and you won't even say okay?" Rhett stated getting off the bed. I looked at him. Then I went over to the fridge and grabbed a coke.

"Link, please... Why won't you say anything..." Rhett sounded worried. As I cracked the coke I looked at him. I sipped on my coke. When I set the coke down on the table, I turned to Rhett and looked at him hard. I focused on what his expression was.

"Link..." Rhett sighed. I walked a little closer to him. He pushed his hair back and looked away. As I walked a little closer he looked at me. His eyes started to water. He looked down quickly. He must have really meant what he said.

"Why?" I asked. Rhett quickly looked up.

"What?" He sniffed. I looked carefully at him.

"Why did you say what you said?" I asked.

"Cause I meant it, Link." Rhett answered as I wiped some of his tears away.

"Rhett, I love you, too. I also felt a spark... I've been in love with you since I first laid eyes on you..." I looked down. Rhett grabbed my face and faced my head to look at him. I opened my mouth slightly in amazement.

I never knew how much I could really mean to someone until I looked at him. His warm hearted smile and his loving blue eyes... It made me feel warm inside. It made me feel as if someone actually cared for once... I think... For the first time in my life, I felt like I was in love... It was an amazing feeling. I felt warm, and fuzzy. I felt bubbly.

I felt all these different emotions all at once. At that point... I knew what I had to do...
