Pt 1: S'mores

Amity's Pov:

I nervously laugh, "Hah, haha, you want m-me..." I casually point to myself with a shaky finger, "to come t-to your house with Willow and Gus..." I feel my face progressively grow redder, "for a sleepover?!" My eyes widen and my ears slightly droop and grow hot, as Luz grins widely in front of me.
"Yeah!" She chirps happily, clasping her hands together while leaning cautiously beside my locker.
"No way." I laugh, shoving the last of my books into the mouth of the locker. I turn on my heel and begin walking down the hallway.
"Aw, come on!" She groans, catching up to my pace quickly, "It'll be fun! You know, girls night out!" She nudges my arm with her elbow and I grin to myself at her pleading. 

"What's the occasion anyway?" I sigh, hugging myself as we walk outside towards the Grudgby seating area.
"Nothing! I just want to hang out that's all." Luz races ahead and sits down on one of the rows of seats, patting the area next to her. I sit down and stare at the floor.
"So, what'd ya say?" Luz winks at me while leaning onto my shoulder.
"I-I uh..." I stutter as I feel my shoulders hunch. I hear whining noises come from Luz as I turn to face her, flinching a bit at the closeness of her as I roll my eyes.
"Fine." I cross my arms.

"Great!" She squeals, throwing her arms around me and pulling me into a claustrophobic hug. An inaudible noise escapes my mouth as I feel the sudden urge to just disappear from embarrassment.
"Oh! And I brought some snacks for the both of us! I've noticed you haven't been bringing in much food lately." Luz reaches from behind her and grabs a rectangular box with numerous Azura stickers plastered onto it.
"You have?" I stare ahead as a few students all make their way to the Grudgby field.
"Yeah! And It's my duty to ensure you stay healthy and safe!" Luz giggles as she hands me over a juice box and a single sandwich that has been cut into a triangle. She also hands me a tissue and I place it on the bench. I grab the juice box and awkwardly rip out the straw with intensely shaky hands.
"Are you cold or something?" Luz leans forwards and tilts her head, already munching on her own sandwich.
"Hmm? Oh, no, just a little nervous." I tuck a single strand of hair behind my ear and cross my leg over the other.
"For what? The sleepover?" Luz suggests and I grow timid.
"N- Yes, I haven't had any, that's all."

Play it cool Amity.

"Not even with Boscha?" Luz raises a suspicious brow and I immediately cower into my seat.

Yep, nailed it!

"Okay maybe once or twice?" I giggle nervously scratching the back of my head.
Luz giggles frantically, "Hah! I'm just teasing! Don't worry Amity, Willow won't be mad at you!" She smiles at me and I can't help but crack a smile too. It's not Willow I'm worried about Luz...

A distant voice can be heard from behind me, and I turn around to find Willow and Gus running towards us in a flurry.
"Luz!" They both shout as they run to sit next to her, and I can't help but feel a twinge of jealousy.
"Guys! Great news! Amity is coming to the girl's night out!" Luz smiles widely as Willow and Gus shout happily. I hunch my shoulders again and stare at the floor sadly as I begin drinking from the juice box Luz had given me.
"Girls! We need to talk about activities! The Owl House pretty much has it all but we need some decently clean ones to avoid Eda being mad." Luz slams her fist into her palm and sits upright.
"Well... we could practice our speeches?" Willow suggests and Gus laughs.
"Speeches? For what?" He laughs and Willow eyes him.
"Speeches for the Coven meetings?" Willow crosses her arms and smirks as Gus immediately turns a shade lighter.
"C-coven meetings? Oh, I can already feel my stage fright coming in." He starts breathing heavily as Willow slaps his shoulder.
"I thought you didn't have stage fright, Gus?" She laughs.
"I don't, but Coven meetings are another story and my speech will be awful!" He visibly shudders and he stares worriedly at the floor.
"You can just practice in front of us?" Luz suggests, and Gus shakes his head.
"I'm too scared about that too... plus it's not that great of a speech." He mumbles.
"Aw, it's okay! Just imagine us... er... naked! That's what we would do in the human world to survive through stage fright!"
