Unrecognizable

Walking on four legs , to Harry was actually quite a bit easier than he'd anticipated. Finding something decent to eat , that was just a bit harder. Harry had never been one for raw meat , and  berries just weren't enough for his canine stomach.

He thought about switching back , but feared that someone would arrive and recognize him. There was a search for him after all. Who was to say they wouldn't check this part of the forest? But he was so hungry . And he longed to use his arms , his height.

Just as he was contemplating, he heard rustling behind him. The sound he'd prepared for yet had never actually been ready for. He'd already been seen . What was the point in running? To the normal wizard's eye , especially a student's  , he was seen as a normal German Shepard anyhow .

He turned to look at who'd come. Draco! He thought with a start. His heart skipped . Draco eyed his surroundings before his gaze fell upon the dog. He helped with a start and clung to a tree. Ha! The slytherin Prince , afraid of dogs ! Harry thought spitefully. Maybe he wasn't so hard to attain after all. Maybe he did have other flaws than being an absolute ( cute) snob .

Yet something in Harry didn't want to scare him off. Instead , he slowly approached the now frozen Draco and nudged at the top of his thigh. His scent was exceptionally pleasant to Harry and he wished to be embraced by Draco , his scent looming over him in a graceful mist.

Draco , wide eyed , looked down at Harry and let one hand release from the trunk of the tree. It hovered shakily over Harry's head. He lifted his head into it and rubbed the side of his face to Draco's thigh. Draco knelt down and pet Harry's head heartily . The smile on his face looked as if it couldn't ever fade. A light chuckle released itself from his throat.

I can't leave him here... Draco thought .  " mmmmm" Draco hummed as he thought. " You want to come with me?" Draco asked Harry. How will I smuggle a dog into Hogwarts? He thought to himself . Harry barked excitedly and ran in a circle , pouncing back onto Draco and nuzzling him. He still opposed to licking him. He wasn't really a dog .

Draco lifted " Come on." He said and began walking from the forest. Harry followed , though he liked the peace and quiet he'd gotten in the forest. That was the very thing he'd sought after and was the reason he'd even become an animungus and ran away into the forest in the first place . Yet he followed Draco.

Somehow , using a borrowed invisibility cloak and a silencing spell , Draco had been able to sneak Harry into his room. He'd shared his dorm with crabbe and Goyle. ( idk I forgot the African America boy's name. I haven't read Harry Potter since the 6th grade , give me a break!)

Draco pulled the cloak off of Harry and folded it neatly on a bedside table. Crabbe and Goyle hadn't arrived yet. Draco may have skipped Defense Against The Dark Arts to go and have some peace and quiet in the woods, where he'd fortunately found an adorable dog  in which he'd smuggled into his room .

Harry ran around in a circle again . " What do I name you?" Draco asked Harry thoughtfully. Harry hopped up onto Draco's bed and laid beside him , his paws underneath his chin. " Forest... I guess. Because that's where I found you." Draco said. Harry yelped excitedly. " shhh, quiet down ." Draco scolded before petting Harry's head.

Once Crabbe and Goyle came into the room and saw Harry laying on the floor beside Draco's bed , chin in paw , Draco'd threatened their well being if they weren't to stay quiet about it , so they both steered clear of Draco and his dog.

That night , Draco changed into his pajamas and climbed into his bed. He patted a spot next to him " Come on Forest." He crooned. Harry's heart fluttered in his chest... was he actually going to sleep with Draco ? Even if he was a dog. He hesitated. " Come on." Draco said . Harry then hopped onto the bed and nuzzled Draco . Draco chuckled and laid on his back. He sighed . " You ever fall in love , Forest? " Draco asked , seemingly dazed. Harry glanced at Draco . " Hurts , doesn't it?" Draco continued. Harry was about to nod but caught himself. Dogs. Don't. Nod. " Harry's his name. Harry Potter... yeah , it's a him." Draco exhaled heartily. " Goodnight forest..." Draco sighed.

Harry's heart pumped in his chest. Draco turned from in his back to facing Harry. His stormy grey eyes gazed softly into Harry's . " Hmm." He hummed before his eyes fluttered shut , concealing his beautiful , silver eyes and letting his blonde eyelashes brush his cheeks.

Harry closed his eyes a bit , letting Draco's words play through his head in faint echoes.

When he opened his eyes again , he felt dazed and groggy. He'd fallen asleep. He looked over to his side to see Draco staring at him in absolute shock.

Harry sat up with a shock and discovered that his arms and legs were back. He slowly put his hands up to his head and touched his hair. " Draco I- "
Harry started. " You- where... Potter! What the bloody hell are you-"

In a sudden panic , Harry put a finger gingerly to Draco's lips . Draco looked puzzled a moment before sweeping his gaze across the room. " Oh."

Crabbe and Goyle lay asleep soundly . Crabbe on his back and Goyle sprawled half above the sheets. Harry's arm retracted from Draco's lips. Harry looked around the room once more before meeting Draco's dark eyes.

The boys looked at eachother for a moment , contemplating this moment , this situation. Draco then plunged himself into Harry , letting their lips meet. They then sat still a second , Draco's lips on Harry's . Motionless. Draco's eyes widened at the realization of what he'd done .

Harry kissed back , letting the passion escalate. Soon Draco's hands were entangled in Harry's messy locks of dark hair. Harry's arms were loosely wrapped around Draco. They then pulled away , breathless. " Draco I-" " I've figured it out in my head . Harry , I know. I kind of knew all along..." he said looking intently into Harry's eyes. " we need to get you out of here..." Draco whispered. Harry nodded .

They then grinned at eachother and went in for another kiss before pulling away.
