Boomer:
I went through half of the day thinking about Bubbles.
I spent half of my day red in the face.Think of something else Boomer...
Lunch rolled around and kids were filling the hall ways in a rush to get to the lunchroom. I was in a rush to get to my brothers.
They were a great distraction.
They were ugly and loud so it worked perfectly.See I wanted to go to the lunchroom but the school is so big that I got lost. I ended up in front of the Gym instead.
Sighing, I placed my tan hand in my hair and tugged lightly. This school's size was very unnecessary. Just then the doors of the Gym opened and kids flooded out of the doors, almost running me completely over.
The girls at the front of the crowd slid to a stop right before running into me.
Their faces turned red and pink and a smile made its way across my face."Hiya ladies. I know I have a past but I'd love it if you spared my life."
A chorus of giggles rose out of the crowd of chics.
"Um so...I actually was on my way to the lunchroom when I got lost."
I smiled sheepishly.
"Could one of you show me the way?"The crowd of girls suddenly became a crowd of seagulls. Noise I couldn't comprehend filled my ears. I couldn't understand a thing being said to me.
I scanned the crowd in fear when my eyes caught a pair of golden brown eyes.
A girl stood staring at me in awe, her hands held together behind her back.I swam to her.
"M-maybe you could help."
She was small compared to me.
She had this soft look.
She had this shy look.
She had pretty hair.
She had an angelic voice.
And a beautiful hand-"I'll save you."
She bit her pink lip.I put on my best smile. The one that had all girls falling over.
"Please do."
She took my hand and lead me half way across the school. Apparently all I did was take the wrong hall way. There was 50 different ways to get to the huge lunchroom.
I just simply have no sense of direction, but apparently my brothers do. They were both sitting at a table in the corner, eyes flying over the crowd, looking desperately for...well, me.
Brick's eyes met mine then slid to the girl next to me, then back to me.
I swallowed best I could when someone was being stared at like they only had 3 seconds left to live.
I turned to her and and smiled best I could.
"Thanks...uh...Um..."
"Daniella."
"Daniella." I repeated it slowly.
"Thanks a lot Daniella. I'll look for you if I ever get lost again."
"Sweet, I'll always be here."
She smiled and made her way to the lunch line as I made my way over to the table.Daniella....
A beautiful mystery. An angel in a crowd of seagulls.
I looked back up as I reached my brothers and looked to Brick."Why'd you look at me like that?"
Brick spun his ball-cap around, placing the velcro strap in front of his head and the cap part in the back."No. Girls."
I stared at him. And stared more.
"I thought we were supposed to be normal. I thought we wanted to be. Having a crush or even a girlfriend is normal. And it's better than me being interested in Bubbles."
I mumbled that last part, hoping it'd fly over their heads.
Butch started choking on his ham and cheese sandwich. He hacked and coughed and looked like a completed frickin idiot. Once he was done dying, he looked to me with wide eyes.
"What?!"
I shrugged.
"What's the big deal?"
Brick gripped his tray tightly, almost breaking the thing.
"You can't love anybody Boomer. Especially, especially, a Powerpuff! I know it sucks ass but our lives are way to complicated and unhealthy. Any girl we hooked up with would be ruined if they were involved with the likes of us."
I looked down at the lunch table.
"Whatever you say Brick."
I sighed, placing my cheek in the palm of my hand.
Poor me, huh?
