~Nagito's POV~
"IIIITT'S PUNISHMENT TIME!!"
Monokuma's shrill voice rank through my ears, I smiled at the symbols of hope one last time as I was pulled to my inescapable demise.
The room illuminates and I see an open hallway ahead of me, given the name I'll assume that this is a death run. How exciting!
I start making my way down the hall, dodging traps while occasionally getting hit by them.
My limbs ache from being cut or bruised from traps that I failed to dodge, making my run for survival much more difficult.
I can hear the rapid beating of my heart, everything is beginning to spin, I'm growing dizzy from blood loss, I'm getting hit more and more.
Blood dripped from my open wounds and I tear my focus from the execution to glance at my arm, crazed with pain. Seeing the horrible cuts give me a very fuzzy thought but I ignore it.
When I look up I can feel a light smile appear on my face as I see an exit, trash like me actually found the exit!
I limped as fast as I could over to the exit despite the throbbing of my limbs, I place a hand on the door handle and take a shakey breath.
I open the door to be greeted with...
A..spear..to..the..stomach..
I cough out blood and lose all feeling, my body collapses.
Hajime..
Chiaki..
Everyone..
I've.. failed...
Please.. don't give up hope.. for me..
My consciousness fades.

~Hajime's POV~
Tears sting my eyes, Nagito is gone. I'm going to have to accept it one way or another.
Everything hits me so fast, what he tried to say to me, what his true intentions were, everything.
My overwhelming thoughts of bitter gratitude and sadness are interrupted by Monokuma's loud roar of laughter.
I cover my ears in a weak attempt to block out what he has to say, it fails and I hear every single word.
I feel so guilty.. that I didn't understand his words..
"I am truly in love with the hope that sleeps inside you."
