blood moon's blessing (original story)

Chapter 2

I looked to see that I had bumped into Jayden a book had fallen onto the ground along side him so I suppose that we both weren't watching where we were going. "I'm so sorry I was not looking where I was going". "It's alright and I did want to talk to you about something", he looked hesitant but listened. "Well I was wondering if you wanted to hang out at my house if it's fine with you". "I suppose it should be fine let me just text my parents also I don't really know you so don't do anything weird". "They said it's fine since I have been having trouble making friends even before I transferred", that is really sad I can't imagine being alone like that I am glad I talked to him.

"What about your parents they might be hesitant if they don't know me", oops I did not think about that well I guess I will just say he is a close friend. I quickly pull out my phone and text my dad luckily he is ok with it. "Well I suppose that settles it my dad said that he is ok with you coming over". "Fine with me", he may not show it but I can tell he is pretty happy about this and so am I. And so we start walking to my house, "I heard from Taylor that you are a pretty big deal at our school. "Figures you would find that out from her she is such a chatterbox but I don't want you to think I boast about that kind of thing it kind of just happened, all I am trying to do is get by in life. "That makes me happy you think that way after all having someone so worried about their status in life doesn't have much of a point anyway because we all know how it ends".

"That is pretty dark but it is true", that makes me wonder why I have been born into this world if in the end I am going to die. "Do you remember that fairy tail about the blood moon's blessing parents would always tell their kids". "Yup my mom used to tell me that a lot about how every 135 years 1 kid that would be born when the blood moon is out and would get one wish whatever you wanted, the down side is that vampires would try really hard just to find that one individual due to the legend saying that their blood is the best this world could offer". If someone were to wish for immortality that wish wouldn't be granted since only one person can have the blessing at a time.

"Our parents probably only told us about that because they wanted to give us a reason to hope for such a thing but it is meaningless it would be cool if it was real though". "Oh look we are here", we walk in the house and I greet my dad. "It is nice to meet you what is your name, I don't remember seeing you around Matthew". "I'm Jayden nice to meet you too", after he meets my dad we head to my bedroom to find something to do. "It's nice", he says as he looks around the room and sits down at a chair I have beside my desk. "Thanks", Jayden seems to be really out of place right now and now I feel bad for inviting him over.

"So earlier you said that you weren't good at making friends and if you don't mind me asking why is that." I shouldn't have asked that it's too personal, "well the thing is when I became friends with people they eventually found out something about me that they hated then people bullied me for it and it got me expelled. "That must have been hard on you but don't worry I am not like that I will never judge you I swear", I heard him say in a whisper "yeah right". I will prove it to him someday that I am serious about what I said, I don't go back on my word. "You are pretty lucky i'm jealous of all the things you have", what does he mean by that, my stuff maybe.

"I am going to be right back", then he takes something out of his bag and slipped in his sleeve I can't see what it is though. after a bit of time passes he comes back but this time the thing that was in his sleeve is gone. The really odd thing is if he wanted to go to the restroom he would have asked me but he didn't. "We should probably finish our homework for classes want to finish it together." "Sure", so we finish our homework together and it starts to get late. "I should be getting home now and thank you for inviting me over I really needed a break from what has been happening lately."

He heads out the door and I feel like I helped him, yet have a lot of questions well I better get ready for bed. I take a shower and afterwords change into something comfy. I make sure to brush my teeth and so I get under the covers to sleep. but still there is one thing that bothers me what did Jayden slip into his sleeve, I checked all the trash cans but nothing big enough that looked like he put in his sleeve it was fairly bulky. the only thing I found that looked odd was a cap that was half blue and half white. Just who is Jayden?
