I feel empty while I sit here

And I stare at my computer screen

For hours it almost feels like

I crave company

I crave attention

You would too if you have been what I’ve been through

And then I can’t take it anymore

I have to get out

So I grab my Jacket, phone, and earbuds

And I run down the street

I cross the road

And enter an empty park

I put on my favourite song on repeat

Everything is in fast motion

And I can’t stop it

I can’t stop the world from turning

No one can

I fall on my back and stare at the night

I feel like I’m in a snow globe

Making snow angels and looking up

At the dark sky that looks like it wraps around the earth

You would know what I mean

If you lay in the cold, cold snow

And stare at the clouds

And the moon

And all the stars

See I’m not like the average high school student

I don’t get high or get drunk

To cope with this crazy messed up world

I listen to my favourite song

Put on replay

Until my heart stops beating
