Going home i guess

So the next morning I woke up. Percy was in the bed next to me. I guess he was still healing I was feeling a bit better not too great. Annabeth said it would best if I went back to Manhattan until we officially can plan and figure out what all this means. So I packed my bags you know the usual my chb hoodie, my book, the necklace Jax gave me, and most importantly my sketch book. I said bye to Percy and told him to text me once he was out of the infirmary. Annabeth decided to take me home rather than my mom picking me up. So I hopped in the car and we left back for Manhattan. The car ride was long and boring. I eventually told Annabeth what actually happened and why Percy was so injured. I told her how I woke up as the car went flying through the air into the tree. How I was so scared about Percy and how it felt terrifying to actually fight a monster and how I felt about Jaxon. By the time I got home it was 12:30. I met my mom at the door and I was so relieved to finally be home. I say on the couch for a bit before telling my mom and dad what happened. They were in complete disbelief they were proud but they couldn't believe it. I told them I'd be in my room. My mom said that my school work was on the desk if I wanted to get started.  I laid down on my bed trying to process what happened. I decided to text Sam. She's the only one I can really count on for this type of thing. She immediately responds even though she's in class. We'd be in art where our teacher let's us get our phones out. She asks me where I've been so I explain what happened over the weekend. She's shocked I mean she's an actual half - blood and nothing interesting happens to her. She says after school to meet her at the coffee shop on 4th. I grab my schoolwork my bag and Percy's old swim team jacket. I tell my mom I'm leaving to meet up with Sam and Chase and ask her for ten bucks for a coffee. I rent my scooter through one of those scooter tour apps. 5 bucks to get me to the coffee shop. I meet Sam and Chase there. I order myself a berry tea and a chocolate croissant. I tell them everything that happened.  Chase suggests that I could be the next oracle. Which begs the question of what would happen to Rachel. I decide not to think about it and ask about the homework I missed yesterday. They help me get through the pile of work about integers and cells we get through all of it in about an hour. I tell them I'm leaving and I start to walk home I don't have enough money for a cab or even a scooter but the sunset against the city background looks gorgeous. By the time I get home it's 5:30. Mom has dinner on the table. My favorite tomato soup and chilled cheese the perfect comfort food. After dinner is over I lay on the couch and watch a few episodes of parks and rec and then go to bed. I get up in the morning at 6:30 and get ready I'm in a slight rush because I got up late and because today is book dress up day I decide to give myself a Katniss braid to make it simple. Just as I'm about to eat my yogurt I get a call from Annabeth. She says that Percy is ok still in the infirmary but ok, that her Rachel, and Chiron are trying to figure out the prophecy, and that for right now I should just try and heal and take it easy. I tell her bye and then leave for school. I go to goode middle where my dad used to teach at the high school. I meet Sam and Chase at the entrance they ask me if I need help carrying anything as I need to keep pressure off of my collar bone so Sam takes my lunch and chase takes my backpack. We walk in to school and immediately I get looks from everyone I mean I look like I just got in a car accident that nobody heard about. I get a few questions from people here and there like "did that happen to you at cheer?" And "are you ok?" I shrug them off and say yeah or no don't give them too many reasons for question. The rest of the school day goes by like normal. When I finally get home percy's there which is odd because this morning he was still in the infirmary. Something just feels off like unsettling or odd. I ask what he's doing here and he tells me he thinks he figured it out. So that was fast. So I jump in the car and back to camp we go. I tell Sam and Chase I'm going back.
