With Ke$ha just releasing her hit single Tik Tok, her career was only going to grow. Within a week or two upon the release of Tik Tok it went #1 on iTunes and billboard in 11 countries. The song was so popular that it broke records for the most digital downloads in one week. As soon as the song went big everyone wanted Ke$ha to start performing shows at fairs, colleges, and other large events. She did a lot of single shows but went on tour with Rihanna for a short time. She went from singing at shows with a few hundred people to thousands upon thousands. Ke$ha had become a music sensation.
Along with Tik Tok going number one, her album Animal went number one as well. Animal was a certified platinum album and sold 2 million albums in September alone. There were so many top 10 hits off of animal like Take It Off, Blah Blah Blah, and Your Love Is My Drug. Her album was so successful that her career already steady. She was making millions, producing number one songs, and everyone loved her.
Along with Ke$ha growing as a singer, her fan base online began to grow as well. A few of us remember at one point when there was around 100 people who had fan accounts and would talk with her. Ke$ha wasn't too popular yet that she would still talk with a few of her fans online. At this time she started calling her fans animals, and the term grew quickly. Ke$ha's animals was a term that people would soon get to know. Us animals started a fan base quickly and the Ke$hia's following was born. We looked at her as a savior. There was something in her music that spoke to us and made us feel alive. As a few animals said some of the songs on animal really spoke to them and helped them through some hard times. One animal for example is from @/AnimallForever on Twitter. Till the 4th period class in school I had many friends, but I was still crazier than I was ever before. One day a new kid came into our class and he didn't like who I was, but everyone liked the new kid so I began to lose some friends. These girls were always in my side though and he began to call me gay (which I'm not) and told me he wants me dead. This broke me, I was in ruins. I don't know why he began to hate me so much as I never did anything mean to him or try to hurt him. I started crying as soon as he said this. One of my friends then became really angry about this too and began to cry with me. When 6th period came along I read up on Kesha's rehab story and it made me cry, but at the same time gave me the power to stay strong. This gave me the courage to stand up to him and tell him my opinions and bash him for what bad things he is doing to me and my friends. The kid decided to complain to the teacher, but the teacher said who cares and had no remorse for the bully. Thanks to Kesha, she gave me the courage to stand up for myself and what I feel is right. In the end my friends were there for me and everything started to get better again. The impact Ke$ha has had on so many people's lives is amazing. She truly is a great inspiration in life.
As Ke$ha's career and cult began to rise, and along with the good, comes the bad. Every celebrity has those people who are out to target them and just poke fun at them. One of those critics was Perez Hilton, he is a sick fucker that does no good to his world except expose the bad in people's lives. Ke$ha was one of those people he targeted, many times down the line would Perez torment her online, post leaked photos, and just talk bad about her.
As the animal era continued and Ke$ha's following grew, she knew she would somehow have to step it up to make another good album. All awards she won, tours she did, and interviews that she did, finally got her a career. Ke$ha was one of the top female artists now. She closed out the tour with Rihanna and began to work on her next studio album. Someone she would have to outdo herself and make a new kickass album.
