The doorbell rang, and I went to fetch dinner while Lucifer and Azza dressed. We ate at the dining room table, and they regaled me with tales of Uzza until I was roaring. I laughed so much my face hurt. To be such a fierce-looking angel, he behaved as if he were about twelve years old.

We could have loaded the dishwasher and used it, but it seemed like a more intimate thing for the three of us to do the dishes together. Lucifer washed, Azza dried, and I put away. A homey system.

"So, guys, I want to talk about us, if it's okay?" I asked as we worked. The butterflies in my stomach fluttered even though the topic was open; I didn't need to tiptoe.

They glanced at each other, pausing in what they were doing ever so slightly before beginning again.

"It's more about logistics than anything. I mean, well, clothes, for example. Is it necessary for Azza to travel to get more clothes? Should we talk about space in the closet? I'm—I'm not sure how this works," I stammered. I was awkward, but my angels would understand.

Azza hugged me. "Thank you. It would be convenient to have some space. While I don't mind living out of a suitcase, it is getting a little old." He kissed me, just a peck at first, but he must have felt how I responded; he kissed me until I was breathless.

He chuckled as he let me go, and it took me a moment of concentration to remember what I'd been discussing. "What else do we need if Azza is going to stay here? What about a bigger bed? My queen size is okay, but it's crowded with the three of us. What about a king?"

The two angels were smiling at me as they leaned on the counter. "What?" I asked.

"Love, we thought you would have a lot of issues about all this. You seem to be happy with it."

I blinked. "Shouldn't I be? I am feeling awkward, but I want to give this a shot."

"Okay. Let's look at what changes we can make to create a home. We will start with the bed," Lucifer said, taking my hand. We spent the next two hours having Lucifer snap changes in place to try them out. We eventually ended up with a king-size bed, an even more enormous closet, an oversized shower, dual sinks, a smaller office, and a very special trunk in the dressing area for Azza. It could store an unlimited amount and always had whatever he was looking for at the top, a gift from Hell, naturally.

Lucifer took me in his arms when we finished. It was his turn to kiss me senseless, and he nearly did so. Azza ran his hands along my body from behind me, but before I could become lost, I pulled away.

"I'm sorry, loves, but I have a little work I need to do before we get caught up in this. I don't think I'll be long."

Lucifer let me slide away, if a bit reluctantly, while Azza grinned at me. "I could make you forget about work."

I sobered. "Not this job, Azza. This is my soul we're talking about here, and whatever Lucifer's connected to makes it so he can't collect these corrupt people on his own. This is serious."
