"A fire was seen around five minutes ago, it's spreading through the Neo Shopping Center. The firefighters are there already." Jinhee ran, her eyes caught the smokes that was produced by the huge fire. She kept her phone in her ear to make sure she stayed updated.
"W-Where are you now? I'm almost there." Catching her breath, she stopped for a little while and started to run again. Even though her legs was dying on her, she was nominated as one of the best runner in her school days so she made it there like she ran a whole marathon.
"O-Oh My God." Her eyes widened as the once beautiful building is now burning in total flames. Everyone stood there in awe, watching as the fire eating the building slowly but surely. There was three fire trucks and more than twenty firefighters who is currently fighting over the flaming red monster.
The phone line was already cut off the moment she got there. She gritted her teeth, trying to search for Mingju. It was crowded and intense, the black smokes was going in every direction, causing her to cough.
"Jinhee!" A figure called out in the middle of the crowd, making Jinhee turned her head, searching for the source of the voice. Mingju ran towards her with a worried expression, his white shirt was stained in dirt, and his jeans was dirty. "T-The firefighters is too busy to put the flames down, there was a mom with a baby inside. So, yeah, you guessed it." Mingju grinned, his hand falls to the crook of his neck.
"Is the mom and the baby safe?" Mingju nodded in response. Jinhee furrowed, wondering if there's more people inside the building. "Is everyone evacuated already?" Jinhee asked as she observed the building that was eaten up by the red flames.
"I think that's everyone-" "There is a little girl inside!"
Without giving a single thought, Jinhee ran towards the burning building, ignoring Mingju wo is screaming. Biting her lower lip, she tried to find her way in. The front gate was blocked with shattered bricks. There was a little hole just in between two bricks, but she didn't think that she would fit.
As she was lost in her own thoughts, she jolted in suprise as she felt a touch on her right wrist. She turned to her back, her eyes caught the view of Lee Jeno, standing in a plain black shirt with a black and white striped pants. Her jaw dropped as she stared to him in disbelief.
"Let's go." He plainly replied, grabbing her wrist to follow him. Jinhee still can't accept the fact that the black fang is now here, pulling her towards the burning building. This is also the first time that Jinhee got to hear his voice.
Well, it's kinda hot.
"The hole is too small." She finally snapped back to reality. Jeno let go of her wrist, quietly bringing his strength to his two hands. His muscles tensed up, and he felt the energy running through his blood.
He took one of the shattered bricks, lifting it up, throwing it to the other side. Jinhee can't believe what she just saw with her own two eyes. Before she could say anything, a sound of a little girl cry was heard. Jeno and Jinhee immediately ran towards the source of the sound, coughing in their way as the smokes started to consume them.
"S-She's there!" Jinhee pointed her finger to the crying little girl that sat in the corner. She was hugging her legs, her body trembled in fear. Jinhee glanced to Jeno who nodded his head, grabbing the little girl, putting her in bride style position.
Jinhee stumbled as her mind became dizzy. The fire was burning hot, and the black smokes started to cover up their way back. "Hey, you good?" Jeno noticed her pain, and Jinhee only replied with a nod. She unconsciously grabbed his shirt as he walked through the raging smokes.
All of them cough over and over again, sweating from the burning sensation around them. Jeno quickly found the hole that he made, sighing in relief. "We're almost there." He comforted as he glanced back at Jinhee who is having a difficult time to breathe. She looked up to him, forcing a little smile.
Jeno looked back to her in concern. Not a long after that, a big brick fell infront of them. They flinched, and the little girl started crying even harder. The once big hole is now turned to small hole. "J-Jeno, she can go through the hole." Jinhee stuttered, trying to keep her balance. "What about you?" Jeno asked, Jinhee forced another smile. The small hole is only enough for the little girl to go through.
"You can go through that hole, right?" Jeno glanced the crying girl, flashing his puppy eye smile.
"B-But what about mister and miss?" "We'll follow you after that okay?"
The little girl nodded. Jeno placed her on the ground slowly as the little girl stumbled on her feet. "Don't look back." Jinhee smiled weakly to the girl as she crawled to small hole.
Just seconds after she crawled out, the building came crashing down.
