It's Just Not The Same

Teams POV

It was a new day, a new morning, he opened his eyes and looked around the room everything was quiet and still, wanting nothing more than to just go back to sleep and forget today was gonna happen. He sighed before reaching for his phone, no new notifications "what a surprise.." he scoffed. He got up from his bed stretching, knock knock. He turned towards the door, confusion struck him, he only prayed it wasn't him, he closed his eyes and inhaled deep. He opened the door slightly, and there he was. "Reid?" Team asked, the boy had dark brown hair, pale milky skin, and deep golden brown eyes, he was tall, taller than Team. "hey Team" he smiled, "what are you doing here? please come in" Team smiled, disbelief written all over his face. "Me and my mom moved here after uhm, after my dad died" he looked down, "Reid I am so sorry.. but hey you have me, and now we'll be going to the same college aye" he shoved his shoulder a little. "so how have you been Team? tell me everything" he smirked, Team smiled, "well what is there TO tell ya know, tell me about you instead", "well I moved here, now tell me about you" he smiled as Team laughed, "I have a great group of friends, the college is great, I'm in the swim club" Reids face dropped, "really? after what happened?" he asked. "I need to get over the past and face my issues head-on and I feel this is the best way" he shrugged, "I understand T" Reid smiled as did Team. "sooo anybody you have any interest in?" Reid asked, "well actually.." Team sighed, "yeahh?", "no. I dont have any interest in anybody" Team smiled big at the boy, "so it wouldn't be too inappropriate to invite you out to eat, as old friends?" he asked Team, "I'd be ok with that" they both laughed. knock knock "ahh let me get that for you" Reid stood up, "ok great, I'll be here" Team said. Reid walked over to the door and opened it swiftly, Win stood in the doorway confused, "who are you?" Win asked, "An old friend of Teams, should I go get him or?" Reid asked, Team showed up behind him, "Win?" "Team hey can I talk to you?" Win asked nervously, "yeah of course" Team stayed in the same spot, "stupid I think he meant alone" Reid laughed and walked away. Team only smiled and looked back at Win with a straight face, "listen I know a lot has been happening ok, especially between you and I and I just wanted to apologize" Wins eyes held sorrow, Team could tell he was sincere. "Uhm yeah of course, but nothing more than that. You and Junho are great. So stick with that." Team shut the door, he closed his eyes and washed away the broken feeling, "Hey I am so sorry about him, he's a friend" Team laughed, "are you sure" Reid gave him a smile with reassuring eyes, "of course" "Well I brought some whiskey or wine, well whatever you can take" Reid winked and laughed, "shut up you act like I can't take anything hard" Reid laughed loudly, "yeah I can see how that didn't sound any better." Team groaned. "What do you say I meet some of your other friends?" Reid asked, "I mean I'd be ok with that, but it is quite hectic" Team laughed, "so what I like it like that" "ok ok, you can meet them, let me shoot them a text"

Both boys made their way to the bubble tea shop, Teams eyes caught his group as soon as he got there, he felt an arm wrap around his neck and over his shoulder, rolling his eyes at Reid. They made their way over to their seats, "Hey you guys, this is Reid he's a really good friend of mine who recently moved here" Team introduced him to the group. "well aren't you just a cute thing" Manow studied him, "don't mind her" Team laughed, "So are you planning on joining any clubs?" Pharm asked him, "uhm well I don't know yet, but I am considering music" Reid laughed. "Ooh a singer, Team you really caught a good one" Manow winked, and Team giggled, "So are you two dating or?" Win asked, his face emotionless, "Uhm well no" Reid laughed, "he really is an amazing guy though" Reid looked at Team, both of them smiled. "Well I hope that all of you guys can accept him into the group like you did Junho, "oh Team of course we will, I already like him" Manow smiled and flirted, leaving Team to laugh. "Well I think we should go going back to my place right?" "yeah yeah, for sure" Reid smiled before leaving the group.
