Tick tock. Tick tock.
"TiMe Is RuNnInG oUt."
A skeleton sits in an Anti Void, surrounded by Echo Flowers that replay the screams of those that had found themselves in this place. The blood from his mouth that's on his skull acts like his strings.
He wears a while jacket and red scarf though he's so unstable and glitches so badly it's harder to tell. One eye socket is blue and one is red. No eye lights. Just glitches. He used to be a Geno.
That is, before he got trapped here, wherever here is. He believes he can bring his brother back. So he takes code from Sanses and tries to stitch the code pieces together to make his Papyrus.
But it never works. It always fails and leaves him mad and upset in the end. He has a large amount of DETERMINATION and LV. Enough to rival Error himself. But that's not what he's focused on. He's once again killing a Sans for their code. An Underfell copy.
"No wait! Please!" The copy is hobbling away, one of their feet gone. Normally they wouldn't run away from a fight but this isn't a normal opponent. Oh no. The Sans they're up against is anything but normal.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! PaPyRuS. pApYrUs. P-PaPyRuS. iN yOu. NeEd CoDe. PaPyRuS. BrInG hIm bAcK. pApYrUs. BrInG bAcK PaPyRus. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"
He truly is insane. But wouldn't you be if you were trapped in isolation and had to watch your brother die over and over again only to lose him for good? He has to act quickly before he loses Papyrus forever. He quickly catches up to the copy and kills them, taking their code and going back to his main area.
He's glitching harshly but that won't stop him. He's done this over a thousand times. Each time he's failed and he kills the abomination he's created each and every time. Gaster in the form of a flower is his only company.
But he tends to ignore him. All he cares about is reviving his Papyrus, not having a conversation with a Void monster. His Gaster, like all the others, ended up in the Void. Being in the Void twisted his Gaster.
Changed him to the point he can't even be called the Sans's dad anymore. The Sans may have once thought of the Gaster as his dad but that was long ago, before he was forced to watch as his life crumbled around him.
Some have called him Fatal. Others have called him Error. Yet others have called him Freak, Glitch, Monster or Abomination. He's ignored it with practiced ease, although two of the names the monsters had called him stuck with him. Fatal and Error.
It's taken a while but he's finally decided on a name for himself. His name is Fatal!Error. And he wants his Papyrus back. No matter what the cost is.
I sigh in frustration as yet another AU gets destroyed without me even touching it. Whoever's doing this is good at not being caught. I'm deep in thought but am quickly snapped out of it by Nightmare.
"Anything new? Have you found anything out about the person destroying AUs?" Nightmare asks, sitting down beside Error. He reaches over and starts rubbing Error's spine, trying to help him relax since he knows how stressed he's been.
I sigh in contentment and move closer to Nightmare so it's easier on him. "No." I mumble, burying my face in his jacket where his shoulder is.
Nightmare chuckles a bit before grabbing a blanket and wrapping it around Error. "Don't worry. I'm sure you'll find something soon. You and Ink have been investigating and you've gone through almost the entire Multiverse."
"There aren't a lot of places where this new destroyer can hide, not with everyone keeping an eye socket out for them."
I give a sleepy hum in response, moving so my head's on his lap instead of on his shoulder, using him as a pillow. It doesn't take long before I'm out like a light.
Nightmare smiles and grabs his book off of the coffee table, flipping to his current page and continuing to read.
Dream walks in the room, exhausted. He too has been looking for Fatal!Error, to no avail. Bags are under his eye sockets, which shouldn't even be possible but no one questions it cause they're magic skeletons.
Nightmare notices and sighs, pulling Dream to him with a tentacle. "When was the last time you slept? You look like you haven't slept in a week." He positions Dream so he's leaning against him, able to use his shoulder as a pillow if he falls asleep.
Dream yawns and snuggles up against Nightmare. "Two weeks....." He mutters, sleepily grabbing a blanket since he knows Nightmare will force him to sleep as he tries to get as comfortable as possible, which isn't that hard.
Nightmare harshly sighs. "Dream. You need to sleep. And I won't let you go anywhere until you do."
Dream hums in thought. "Can you sing me to sleep...? Please...?"
Nightmare nods and starts singing You Are So Beautiful. "You are so beautiful. To me~ You are so beautiful. To me~ Can't you see? You're everything I hoped for. You're everything I need. You are so beautiful. To~ me~"
Dream closes his eyes, relaxing and falling asleep.
Nightmare continues singing despite knowing Dream is asleep. He wants Dream to be as relaxed as possible before he stops. "You are so wonderful. To me~ You are so wonderful. To me~ Can't you see? You're everything I hoped for. You're everything I need. You are so wonderful. To~ me~"
"You are so beautiful. To me~ You are so beautiful. To me~ Can't you see? You're everything I hoped for. You're everything I need. You are so beautiful. To~ me~"
Nightmare closes his eye as well, having made himself tired with the song. With Dream sleeping leaning against him and Error sleeping using his lap as a pillow he feels happy. He feels safe. I love this. I want this to continue forever.
Is his last thought before drifting off.
