I currently have a sleepy Calum on my bed because he was sitting in my room watching TV while I was finishing my book report. Calum hasn't really cared about school ever since his moms death. She used to always help him with his homework or she would go to school and attend field trips with him. I finished my book report and wanted to pass out any minute now but Calum was reserving my bed. I grabbed a blanket and pillow from my closet and put down my air mattress. All that was in my mind was how Calum must feel like right now. No home, no education and no parents. I could never function without those three things. Thinking about Calum made me fall asleep.

When I woke up I was on my bed and Calum was no where in the room. I stretched and got off my silky bed. Walking to the mirror was my worst mistake. I looked horrible. I fixed my hair into a messy bun and walked downstairs. I heard bacon and eggs sizzling on the pan and I knew it was Calum because he used to always wake up early when we had sleepovers and make food.

"Morning" I said.
"Morning. Hey why did you sleep on the floor? You could have woke me up or something." He says.
"You had a long night. I didn't want you sleeping on the floor." I say standing next to him.
"Nah. Its your house. Ill be out soon anyway." Calum said.
"Hey Cal. I was thinking, since you have no place, I'd help you look around for a job and you could live here and pay half the rent." I said.
The room went quiet.
"Tori, the reason I was kicked out of my previous house was because I didn't pay my rent on time." He says turning off the stove. He walked to the fridge and I followed him.
"But Cal that was different. You didn't have a job and the money you had you stole from your dad before you left. I will get you a decent job at my dads company. Cal come on. You cant keep living on what ifs and should haves. Were grown up and have to start facing these types of things." I said.

"Ill think about it. Now would you just eat the damn eggs and bacon i perfectly mastered?" He smiled.
"Alright. Alright." I say smiling back. This was the first time Calum has smiled since that day. I think now he knows someone cares about him he will actually try hard. And Im so happy to see how far he gets.

Since its a Saturday I thought I would go out for some shopping. Mostly clothes and house needs. I decided that Calum could come along because we used to always go to the mall or out to eat together. I know he wouldn't be happy about girl shopping but he seriously needs a new style too.
I run upstairs and yell Cal's name.
"Im in the bathroom brushing my teeth!" He says.
I knock on the door and he tells me to come in. Cal is standing near the mirror shirtless fixing his hair and putting toothpaste on his toothbrush. Man for only 2 years, he's been working out pretty well.
"Wanna go run some errands with me?" I say holding the the door handle.
"Sure. Ill get ready in a second." He says.
"Alright." I leave the bathroom pretty shocked. Is it weird to think your best friend is good looking? I mean damn he's looking good after the puberty train hit.
Enough of this nonsense I gotta get ready.
I slipped on a t-shirt, some jeans, and my Uggs.
"Where the hell is my bag?" I skim through my closet and find it on the floor. Calum must have "moved it" to put guitar there. He never put any use in that guitar. I wish he would. Would be cool to have a band. I grab my purse and walk downstairs.
"Calum . You ready ?"
"Yup." He says looking down at his phone. He was wearing skinny jeans, a band tank and vans. Good enough.
We walked out the door and I started walking toward the bus stop.
"What are you doing?" He says confused.
"Going to get transportation so we can actually go." I say with a "duh" look.
"You do know I have a car right?" He says pointing to a open top and door jeep.
"Oh." I say surprised. "Since when?" I say.
"My dad gave it to me as a birthday present a year ago. Remember" He says getting in the car, me following.
"I wasn't there for your 17th birthday. I was on vacation." I say chuckling putting my seatbelt on.
"Oh yeah. You went to the Bahamas without me." He started the car and played green day.
"And it was the best trip ever." I say soaking in the memories.
"Pft. Sure." He said driving off.
