i heard the door open so i lifted my head up and looked up and saw rodrick now fully clothed looking down at me. i stood up and adjusted myself. "sorry, i should've knocked."
"not your fault. i should've showered later. i just wanted to smell good because..."
he stopped mid sentence and then squinted his eyes shut. "nevermind, let's just get to studying."
i walked inside and closed the door behind me and sat next to him on his bed.
"okay, i'm gonna be 100% honest with you; i have no intention in studying at all this summer."
my eyes widened a bit at his words but covered it up with a cough. "oh, well then what do you want to do."
he grinned at me. "well, maybe you could help me out."
"go on."
rodrick adjusted the way he was sitting and was not sitting upright. "well, you know heather hills right?"
my eyes rolled. "obviously."
"well, she's kinda hot. and i'm obviously great at talking to girls, but i need a little help with her. and i dunno what to do."
my breath exhaled out. "you asked the wrong girl for advice. i know nothing about this type of stuff."
rodrick's face scrunched up. "really? you never had a boyfriend?"
my head shook. "nope."
then an idea popped into my head.
"okay. this might be a little crazy but hear me out."
rodrick nodded. "loud and clear."
"throw a party."
he instantly started cracking up, but when he saw my serious facial expression he stopped immediately. "wait, you're serious? they'res not way i'll be able to have a party. my parents would complain the whole time. i wouldn't hear the end of it." then he stopped. "wait, they're going out of town tomorrow to visit my grandparents. that's the perfect day!"
i smiled. "great, so what do i get out of this?"
rodrick chuckled. "free loded diper concert?"
"no."
rodrick's eyelid's lowered at my comment. "okay, well since my situation has to deal with a girl, is there any dude that you like?"
no one came to mind, not one. but then i remembered one thing that i wanted.
"well, there's one thing, but it's stupid."
he rolled his eyes. "just told me."
"well, i made this stupid list of things i want to complete this summer. and one of those things was to have my first kiss."
rodrick grinned. "done, we can play spin the bottle at the party. so i get a chance to kiss heather and you get to kiss someone at the party." he stuck his hand out to shake. "sound like a deal?"
i grinned back at him and shook his hand.
"deal."
