Chapter 9

Narrator's Pov

6:00 pm Hyuga Household

*Knock Knock*

Hinata felt her entire body tense up as she knew who exactly was on the other side of that door. She took a deep breath before gathering up all her courage before she approached the door and hesitated for a second.

Neji: "Hina don't worry I'm not going to yell I just want to talk"

Neji's voice came calmly from the other side of the door, Hinata was surprised at how calm her brother sounds. She slowly opened the door a little and peeked through the crack before opening it completely. She stepped aside allowing Neji to walk in, she gripped on to the hem of her school sweater while her head hung low. She was covering her face with her long locks and bangs just so she would not have to make eye contact.

Neji: "so are you going to tell me what's going on with you and the Uchiha?" he questioned while taking a seat at the edge of her bed. Hinata took a deep breath before she made her way to the available seat next to her brother. 

Hinata: "I...I....I...hmmm" she couldn't get her words out which earned an eyebrow twitch from the older Hyuga.

Neji: "come on Hina... I'm trying not to get mad here, are you going to answer me. Why were your lips locked with the Uchiha?!" his voice began to rise. Hinata flinched at the sound of his voice vibrating throughout the walls, she took a deep breath preparing her self for whats her brother's response will be to what she says next.

Hinata: "I..I..I..t..think I like Sasuke Uchiha!" not wanting to see her brothers expression right now, she had her eyes focused on her hands which were balled into a fist.

Neji: "your joking right Hina?.. your way out of his league." 

Hinata: "I'm not joking I really mean it" 

Neji: "ok then if you're being serious then look me in the eyes and say it, then only will I believe you are actually serious" 

Hinatas whole body tensed up for a moment while she tries to find the courage to look her brother in the eye. Neji knew that his sister was very timid but when she was serious she always makes eye contact, which normally she can't seem to do. He watched as she took a deep breath and turned to face him which caused his entire body to tense up.

Hinata: "Im being serious Neji I think I like Sasuke, when I'm with him I feel so warm on the inside. I feel like a whole cage of butterflies were released in my stomach, and when we kissed it confirmed that I had grown quite fond of him." 

Neji just looked at his little sister in a little awe, he wasn't expecting her to actually confirm that she was falling for the Uchiha. He balled his hands into fists as he clenched his jaw, he slowly took in a deep breath. As he pinched the bridge of his nose between his brows he took a  moment to think, he had no right to tell his sister who to like but he also didn't like the Uchiha family. He took one more glance at his sister's face before calming down a little able to gather his thoughts.

Neji: " Look Hina I can't say I'm happy about you liking an Uchiha, I can't see how you could even find one remotely interesting to know.  They are always surrounded by swarms of women and their all playboys. I don't want to see you get hurt by an Uchiha, but..... I also want you to be happy Hime.  I will let you choose who to trust your heart to but know this, the moment the Uchiha breaks your heart is the moment he dies." 

Hinata stared at Neji a little taken back by how calm her brother has been this entire time, she couldn't help but let a little chuckle out. She quickly recomposed herself as she tucked a strand of her hair back.
