"What's that supposed to mean?! We are their team! We're the reason they arrived here!!" Germany complained while stomping away from the large gate to the actual castle part. "I am so sorry for my partner's behavior! I'll make sure he doesn't cause any further trouble. " Russia apologized to a confused looking guard then walked off before the guard could answer.

"Law is law Germany. You can't just bark at a hard working guard like that! He's just doing his job and I'm sure Canada and America will be just fine." "And what are we going to do while they're in there?" Germany asked with another grumble.

"Go on a date?" Russia asked suggestively. "Is this one of you oh so funny ways to make fun of me for never being in a relationship again?" "Possible," Russia snickered.

"Let's just look around the castle town! Even if there might not be anything for your interests I haven't been here a single time and therefore I do not know anything about this place!" Russia demanded. "I guess it would be nice to se how a few corners developed in the past few years..," Germany mumbled in response.

After a few hours of Russia yanking Germany around and Germany groaning every time Russia would stop to read signs or ask random people for nearby sites the 'sun' had started to set and so the streets got emptier and emptier.

"Everything is so empty.., Even the stores are all.. sad..?" "Why would you say that?" Germany asked while guiding Russia to a lookout he remembered from the last time he was here.

"It's just-.. I don't know.. this entire world is just depressing compared to where I came from," Russia mumbled. "Maybe because you are used to death being a bad thing?" Germany suggested, leaning against a stone wall to keep people from dropping off the lookout which was unsurprisingly a pretty common thing to happen.

Russia gave Germany a questioning look but before he could ask Germany started to explain what he meant. "When you first arrived here killing seemed like an absolute scandal to you. You were confused, irritated and even scared when you saw or more so heard that beast." "NO I WASN-" "Don't deny it. .. You are used to a completely different concept of life. You are used to people living a peaceful life and die just as peaceful but this world is the opposite. People live to serve as food for the never ending thirst of the beasts and the mist. We live to die. The ones who don't die are forced to live a miserable life."

"Germany..," Russia carefully set his hands on the Hunter's shoulder, surprised by him not pushing it off.
"Everyone has a moment in their life where they decide whether they die or not. Some take it as it is and embrace the death but those who try to escape.."

"Does it hurt?"
Germany turned to look at Russia, a pained expression burned into his face. "I can't know since I haven't been here for that long and that's also why I can't really understand your actions but.." "Don't pity me." The hunter mumbled then finally pushed Russia's hand off him. "..I'll go for a walk..alone," "Let me accompany you!" "Alone." Germany demanded then disappeared between the many mostly empty houses.

"Why won't it go away..this.."
