you helped me up
bandaged my scraped knees
and kissed my pain away
and that you'd be there for me no matter what
i promised the sameyou looked after me when i was little
or when mom needed a break
you are my comfort, my escape
a grandmothers love is like no other
and you were greatand now you're slowly fading away
piece by piece
one tremor at a time
one memory at a time
it's too hard to watchnow that's it's my turn to be there for you
and make you better
