We ran holding hands through the dark alleyways.

Our footsteps relatively silent and yet,

Our hearts cried out with every beat.

I looked behind us where the sunset shined bright.

It was filled with people rioting with the police.

I looked back at her,

She held my hand so tight I had no choice but to run.

Even if I wanted to stop,

She kept going and going.

While I looked at her hair flying through the wind she looked at me.

She mouthed words.

I did not hear them.

My head slammed against a pole.

My body fell

and yet,

She was still holding my hand.

I slipped into unconsciousness.

-1 YEAR LATER-

Tears dripped down my cold face.

It was not mine.

-1 YEAR BEFORE-

I opened my eyes to the moon.

My body was neatly wrapped.

It felt warm and

tight?

I jolted forward with all my strength and the wrap that surrounded me kept me tied to the chair.

I heard footsteps from behind me.

I quickly jolted my head backwards to see who it was,

It was a short kid who wore a familiar watch.

It was the watch that was stolen from me this afternoon.

They watching me all this time?

He walked closer to me and squatted.

"Who the hell are you? Are you Mariel's new play toy?" The man asked as he pulled off his ski mask.

He had long black hair, His eyes pitch black, his skin shined elegantly in the moon light.

"ANSWER ME!" He shouted as he shoved his foot between my crotch.

"Who is Mariel?" I asked innocently.

He walked right behind me,

I heard a slight moan escape as he dragged something from behind me.

He pulled something into my sight.

It was the girl I ran away with.

She was as beautiful as I remembered.

I had no choice but to force a smile.

"Oh I see, you like her!?" He asked as he pulled out a knife

I snapped back to reality

"WAIT NO! I DON'T KNOW HER!" I SHOUTED.

"Oops! Wrong answer!"

He grabbed her tied up hands and cut off one of her ring fingers.

"NOW YOU CANT GET MARRIED! HAHAHAHAHA!" He laughed as he wiped off the blood from his knife.

She barely cranked out a tear.

She stared blankly into my eyes.

I knew what to do.

My chest was the only thing tied to the chair,

I reached back as far as humanly possible.

I groaned in pain and he did not notice.

He walked past me laughing.

I was prepared for this.

I pulled off the band-aid i left on my lower back.

It had a miniature blade stuck onto the cushion of the band-aid.

I dislocated my left arm to pull it off and throw it near my feet.

I grabbed the blade with my feet and kicked it towards her.

She nodded.

She cut the rope that tied her down.

She removed the mask that covered her mouth.

She walked towards me.

She whispered

"I'm sorry." She said as she pulled out a gun from the back pocket of her jeans.

She pointed the gun between my eyes.

Is this how I go?

Getting killed by this beautiful person?

I could not ask for anything better.

I let a tear fall from my eye as I nodded.

She pulled the trigger
