Hi guys. It's Sophia back again. We extremely enjoyed our last adventure and terribly missed our dear Beaky. It was a bit scary, but still amazing according to me. It was our twenty-eighth adventure. The school reopened after the Christmas holidays and we were back again to our boring routines. As soon as we entered our campus, we had a welcoming party by the "big egos", of course. Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot to introduce the "big egos". They are our biggest enemies in the school, who always tries to cheat and prank us. Emily, Lily and Olivia are a bit backward in studies while we study much better than them.
It soon came to the most boring class _ history. It wasn't that boring for me though. It was the only class in which I could snooze soundly without being noticed by anyone. Imagine what an interesting class it would be? But today something kept me from napping. It was an interesting topic, which I would never have believed that I would say in a history class earlier. Professor Scarlett taught us about the Stone Age. Sounds familiar? It would be, if you have ever listened in your history class. We were attentive in this particular topic in history, which actually came as a big surprise.
The classes finished soon and I quickly rushed to the library. I wondered what had happened to me. I usually hated books, but I've changed now. The time machine has changed me. My head was still zooming around the Stone Age. I searched for a book on the Stone Age and founded one soon. I returned to my friends who were gawking at me.
'Sophia, have you gone insane? What's happened to you? You were never a book-worm like Sterla. You've completely changed' said Emma.
'Yeah guys. I know. But I find The Stone Age very fascinating. I just want to study it more' I said.
'You are going to study? Even I don't study history. What's gotten into you Soph?' asked Sterla bewildered.
'Wait. Don't tell me that you are planning another journey on the time machine' said Clare whispering out the last two words.
'Well, I am. You guessed it right' I said smiling.
'Are you mad Sophia? We just narrowly escaped out of the Jurassic World. What are we gonna do about this? Stone Age? Seriously Soph?' said Sterla horrified.
'I don't know about anyone, but I am in' said Emma. I looked at her curiously. She wasn't the courageous type, but I think I was wrong. She was brave. I smiled at her. I looked at Sterla and Clare encouragingly.
'I will be there too' said Clare.
'Well, I can't bear the thought if you enjoy and come back alright without me. I will never let you go alone' said Sterla awkwardly and I laughed.
'We'll be together in this' I said smiling.
We had a sleepover today at Emma's place. We sat around Emma's bed with the time machine in my hand.
'Do we really have to do it?' asked Sterla uncertainly.
'Do you want us to have all the fun with you left alone here?' asked Clare.
'No. I am ready' she said and I turned the disc and we began to swirl in the air. It stopped finally and we looked at each other. We were wearing a dress made of tiger's skin and Emma was trying her best to suppress the urge to throw it away. She was extremely depressed by the poor dressing sense of the people in the Stone Age. I looked around. We were in the middle of a forest, of course. We started walking. Emma hesitated a bit, but followed us nevertheless.
We heard a roar and swiftly turned around. I gasped along with my friends. It was a tiger. A real, enormous tiger. It looked ferocious. It gnashed its teeth threateningly and slowly paced towards us. I stood in a defensive pose and looked fiercely at the tiger. I knew it wasn't one of my friends to back away if I simply glowered at it. But I didn't know what else to do. I was helpless. My friends stepped back and Sterla grabbed my hand and pulled me back.
