We all sat together at the table. I smiled nervously. If Naruto made even the slightest noise these two would pick it up. Kiba and Shino simply ate their food.

"So Hinata?" Kiba suddenly spoke.

"Yes?" I asked almost too quickly. Kiba wiped his mouth.

"You still dating that Toneri guy?" He asked. My demeanor calmed.

"Yes." I put some food in my mouth. They never were in favor of my relationship with him. Though it's none of their business if I do say so myself.

"I hope he's not thinking about marrying you and having pups." Kiba said. I opened my mouth to reply but suddenly a thump was heard from my room.

I started sweating as I saw them both turn their heads in the direction of the noise.

"What was that?" Shino asked. I threw on a smile.

"I've been moving stuff around in my room, something must have fell due to me putting it on the edge." I said. They simply watched me before continuing. My heart was beating quickly.

Gosh that Naruto. Does he not know the risk I'd be in? Though I doubt they'd rat me out about having him. Especially knowing now what I know. I can't take chances though.

"So you two tracking any mutants recently?" I asked. They were in the tracking department. I wondered if they had any leads.

"Well we have been looking for one eyed giant slugs." Shino spoke calmly.

"They shoot acid out of their eye." Kiba said eating happily. I felt my appetite decrease.

"Though I'm surprised we haven't been assigned tracking on that one 9 tails demon." Kiba said talking seriously. I looked at him in eyes.

He then once again closed his eyes before tossing his hand left and right.

"Shino and I have the best type of tracking. If we had only a slight sample of his appearance and DNA, it wouldn't take much time to find it."

My shoulders stiffen at the dehumanizing of Naruto.

"You never saw the.." I swallowed, "the demons appearance?" I asked. I didn't like calling him that.

Kiba shook his head.

"Shino and I were on two different missions during his arrival. But you know how he looked like right?" Kiba asked. Shino stared at me.

"He was...very pale and his teeth were black and His eyes were very sharp and dark. He was also very thin." I said.

"Your description almost makes it sound like he could have human features. "Shino said suddenly. My eyes widened. Here I was trying to make him not seem similar to the real Naruto. But I guess it wasn't as inhuman as I'd want.

"W-Well yeah he could shape shift." I lied. Shino was about to speak again, but thanks to Kiba he was stopped. Kiba put a whole 8 pack of beers on the table.

"What you say we have a drink? Hinata you can pass. you're still a light weight." He mocked. I frowned.

"I'm not! Give me one."

I had my head to the door for most of the night due to the sudden talk about Hinata's so called lover. I also needed a break from laying on Hinatas bed. It smelled just like her and it made me feel weird. Suddenly I heard noise and chairs moving. Finally those two "friends" of her were leaving.

Hinata tried changing my appearance description when talking about me. It made me feel protected in a way.

I could sense two bodies making their way my way.

"Gosh, Hinata I knew you still were a light weight, you could barely finish one can!" The voice said. I quickly hid myself. Trying to block my presence to my best ability. Suddenly the door swung open. I watched from the closet as Hinata had one arm over the brown hair smelling mut.

Hinatas whole face was red. And her eyes were barely opened. But her eyes looked in my direction. I felt my heart stop. Could she see me? My face felt slightly hot. She then looked away as she soon was tucked into bed.

"Don't blame me when you're late to work tomorrow. I'm leaving this water here. " He said, then straightened his back before looking around her room.

My heart started beating again. He reeks of a dog tracker. A tribe who have demon ancestors that evolved into humans. The Anbu truly used Demons in advantage.

"Doesn't look like she was moving around too many things. " he looked around before also staring in my direction. He took a step closer to the closet I was in.

"Kiba," a low voice called. Both of us shifted to the door. "Let's get going. Hinata needs to be left alone." He said. This so called Kiba soon walked out.

I let out a breath of relief. But his friend stayed a little longer. He looked at his hand as a bug crawled out from his sleeve.

"You're lucky he's intoxicated." He said. My eyes widened. He then gripped the door knob before slowly closing the door.

Once I heard them leave I stepped out.

"I'm lucky? He's lucky I didn't kill both of them! I didn't do it because they were Hinata guest! Hmph!"

Suddenly I heard a slight mumble. I turned on Hinata's small lamp. Before sitting near her bed on the floor. I watched her pretty face as she slept.

Her face still was a little red. Her hair was out of place so I without thought brushed her bangs. She then surprised me when she opened her eyes.

I felt myself retract my hand.

"Naruto-kun? " she asked. I felt my chest tighten.

"Yes?" I asked. She then smiled. I felt my eyes widened.

"It's you...I'm glad." She said. My heart felt a pull before I could react to what I did. My lips were on hers. They were soft like I remember.

"Mm-" I pulled back. After realizing what I did. I put the back of my hand to cover my mouth. Wiping my lips. I did it again. I removed my hand.

"Hinata I-"

She simply blinked before lifting her hand. Touching my lips with her thump.

"I like it when it's you." She said before closing her eyes.

She said that, but she isn't fair. My whole face turned red and I felt my heart ready to explode.
