Chapter 9

Ok from now on,Imma start putting memes as the media,because memes are my life (・∀・)

As the sound of a crack of a twig was heard behind him interrupting his thoughts,he turned back cautiously, and was greeted with a familiar face. His stiffened body calmed down at the sight of his friend, but a million thoughts ran through his head

What is he doing here?
Does she know it's night?
She should be sleeping

"Hey penny what are you doing here?"he asked nonchalantly but behind that, his mind was riddled with emotions of curiousity, excitement, nervousness and admiration

"I should be asking you that"she chuckled"what are you doing here in the middle of the night?"

"You know,just some...thoughts"

"Like what?,I don't see why you have to be up here in the middle of the night just to think"she chuckled lightly again but still pressed on looking at the pitch black night sky filled with stars  ,she stared at them in wonder but stopped when he spoke again

"Uhm penny,have you ever felt something tingling inside you sometimes,that butterflies seem to come from your stomach up to your head,that you just can't seem to stop dreaming of that person,have you ever felt that?"he asked avoiding eye contact

Penny felt a pang of pain in her chest as his words echoed through her mind,but also to give him an answer,she thought about Bea's words

You don't need to do anything when you're daydreaming but when you tell that person you don't need to brag,don't stutter, just be you and be honest

"Well you know how they say that, "be yourself?"she asked hiding a grin behind her so called innocent face

"Yeah..."he trailed off

"Well don't do that" he looked confused as she let out an airy laugh and he couldn't help but feel a warm feeling engulf his chest

"I'm just joking. What I mean to say is, just be yourself be straight forward but also do not brag, be honest and let everything you mean out" I know, I'm bad at giving advice TwT

"Alright, If you say so, penny I-" he started but was interrupted by speedy waving them down,they inspected his face for any signs of disappointment at the fact that they're above HQ in the middle of the night, but found none,instead it showed curiosity

"Swift where did you put your jet?, Did you take it out" speedy asked without a hint of anger

He cocked an eyebrow "no I haven't,I just went up here to sit and then penny arrived" he replied totally confused as to why he was asking that

"Your jet isn't there" he told him as he lead the way back inside to their vehicles. He pointed to the empty spot where his jet was supposed to be and his eyes widened

The elevators opened and out came the three cadets, with Brody and rod yawning loudly disturbed from their sleep and Jack behind them walking like he didn't know what happened.

"Bea, speedy what happened?, Oh" Rod widened his eyes in realization

"We haven't had a vehicle disappearing at night do we?" Brody asked them and they nodded. He was right, they met have rescues in the morning and sometimes they would bring the jets back in the afternoon after a long mission, but they never had someone stealing their vehicles during the night.

"Ya sure it's gone? Maybe you just misplaced it Swift" he asked as if he wasn't worried, which he really isn't

"Yeah maybe I just misplaced it"he answered back dryly

Jack smirked "see he just misplaced it, there's no need to worry" he replied nonchalantly

Penny scoffed, "he was being sarcastic jack"

"We need to find that jet, whoever finds it and uses it, he or she would be in grave danger!" Bea exclaimed getting confused looks from everybody and a fearful one from Jack.

"Why?" They all asked at the same time

"I haven't finished fixing that yet!,the engine isn't stable and if it was used,not even a minute can pass it would blow up!" She said looking at them.

"Then we need to find that jet!,cadets off to yours vehicles!,penny swift will go with you to obtain his" she nodded and ran to hers with swift trailing behind her

They jumped in and started to turn their jets on but it wouldn't start, after alot of trying,they got off. They started walking back but stopped when a sound of a jet was heard behind them

"Jack! Yours is working?" He exclaimed at first but it came out as a question in the end

"I dunno,guess I got lucky"he said as he took off into the night sky, everybody was now relieved but for swift and penny?

They started to suspect something...

Its been a whole month since I haven't been updating and I don't know if you think this book is ded.

Well it isn't,I just need to deal with school and two other books which I am updating but I need a favour...

I need ideas!,all my lost ideas were stored in my braincells which were also lost because of school and now I have no idea how to do the next chapter, please if you want something to happen in the next chapter please comment,it would be really helpful
