2 - Circles

Darryl's POV

"I'm hoooooome!" I yell, setting the bags on the counter.

"Hiiiiiii!" Zak responds. He's still on the couch where I left him.

"I got you a muffin!" I sat down on the couch, handing the blueberry one to him.

"I never thought you would get a muffin." My roommate gasped.

"Hey! I can take that back."

"Nope!" He says, holding it out of reach. "Mine now!"

"You're a muffin," I mutter, taking a bite out of my strawberry muffin. He simply chuckled, his mouth now full.

We sat in comfortable silence for a bit, eating away at the sweet pastries.

(Y/n)'s POV

 I jumped on my bed, wrapping the fluffy (F/c) blankets around me. I was snuggled up in my favorite hoodie and sweatpants with an array of stuffed animals resting around me. If someone were to look in the room, it would simply look like a pile of blankets and clothes.

Ding!

I glanced at my phone.

It was a new video by (F/y, NOT an MCYT). I smiled and played it on the tv. By the time the video finished, my eyes were drooping and I hadn't paid attention to the last half of it. As autoplay started the next video for me, I grabbed the closest plush to me and held it tightly, loving how soft it felt. My eyes blinked closed and I soon drifted into sleep. 

Circles.

I was running in circles.

My life was moving in circles.

One problem would be solved.

Then another would present itself.

I would briefly feel joy.

Then my life would come crashing down on me.

I should be used to it by now.

But I'm not.

It takes me by surprise every time.

I wonder when it will end.

It probably never will.

But that's ok.

I'm used to being disappointed.

...

It shouldn't be too long until my next downhill comes.

Maybe I'll be prepared.

Heh, who am I kidding?

I'll never be ready for anything life throws at me.
