First Day of Senior Year

I was sleeping in bed, as my alarm goes off at 7am, to wake up and get ready for school. Today is my first day as a 11th Grade and as a senior student. The first thing I do after I wake up, is brush my teeth and brush my hair and pick out an outfit to wear for the day.

After getting ready, I checked my new school timetable on my laptop and pack all of my books, that I need for the day, in my bag. My parents are in kitchen, with my dad making breakfast and my mom making our lunch for my sisters and I.

"Girls, breakfast is ready!", Dad called out, as Katie, Josie, Lyla and I came downstairs into the kitchen to have breakfast on the dining table. "Looks great, Dad.", I replied, as we all sat down to have breakfast. "Excited for senior year, baby girl?", Dad asked.

"Totally! I'm so excited.", I smiled. "That's what I like to hear.", Dad laughed, as my mom laugh at his words. After breakfast, Dad drops us off at school. "Have a nice day at school, girls. I'll see you this afternoon.", Dad replied. "Bye, Daddy.", Lyla smiled. "See you soon, Ly-Ly.", Dad smiled.

As I got out of the car, Dad calls me out. "Hey, Mia.", Dad called. I turned my back and look at him. "You'll be ok, you got this.", Dad replied. "I know and thanks Dad.", I smiled, as Dad smiled back before he drove off.

I walk to the entrance and walk through the school hallways. I looked around, as everyone is reuniting with their friends after the summer holidays, and I saw Katie and Josie, reuniting with their boyfriends, Elijah and Jason.

As I kept on walking, I saw my friends, Margot and Araminta by their lockers. "Hey, girls.", I greeted. "Hey!", Araminta cried, as she and Margot hugs me. "How are you?", Margot asked. "I'm good. How was your summer?", I asked.

"It was amazing, we went China to see our grandparents, and we get to see a lot of China during the summer.", Araminta replied. "How was your summer, Mia?", Margot asked. "Well, we went to my Dad's home in Hawaii. I get to meet some of my relatives there and it was good.", I smiled.

"Well, I'm glad we all have a great summer. Are you all ready to start senior year?", Araminta asked. "Yep, very excited.", I smiled. Then the school bell rang, meaning that school has just started. "There's the bell.", Margot replied. "Yep, see you both at recess.", Araminta smiled, as she walks off to class.

After 3 classes in the morning, it was recess time. I went into the school cafeteria to find my friends. Then, I spotted them with their boyfriends. "Mia, over here!", Araminta called out. I walk up them and join them. "What's up, Mia?", Antonio asked. "Hi, Antonio.", I greeted.

"So glad for you to join us.", TJ smiled. "Thank you so having me.", I smiled. Then, a group of the popular mean girls called the Lipsticks, who are a modern day Plastics, entered the cafeteria. "Oh boy, the Lipsticks are back.", Margot replied.

The Lipsticks is a female clique of three, lead by mean girl, Talia Connors, who is the meanest out of all, along with her sidekicks, Krista Spikes and Vera Black. The Lipsticks loves to spend recess and lunch breaks, taunting other students and hang out with the boys from the football team.

Talia saw me as she and her friends encountered my table. "Hi, Mia. Enjoying yourself in senior year?", Talia asked. "Hi, Talia, feeling a bit under the weather?", I mocked, which made TJ and Antonio laugh. "You think you're funny huh? You better watch your little mouth...", Talia replied with an angry tone.

Suddenly, Katie and Josie approach to them from behind. "Hey, Talia!", Josie called out, Talia and her friends turn around and saw Katie and Josie standing there, with a confident pose. "Why don't you pick on somebody your own size?", Katie asked with a smirk on her face.

"Why don't you mind your own business?", Talia asked, as she puts her face close to Katie's face. "Threaten my sister again, and we'll have a serious problem.", Katie replied. Talia smirks and walks away with her friends looks at Katie and Josie. My sisters came to me. "Mia, are you alright?", Katie asked.

"I'm fine, thanks.", I smiled. "We're sisters, we'll always got your back.", Josie smiled and she winks at me, before they left to join their boyfriends. I looked at the football team, and I spotted Grayson Lee, who is the captain of the football team and he's also Margot's older brother and Araminta's cousin.

Grayson looked at me, he saw something in me and we looked at each other for a long time, until I looked away. I was pretty surprised to see the Grayson Lee was looking right at me from the distance.
