Mia's Bravery

6 hours later at nightfall, Mia and Lyla are held captive by Talia and her friends in an abandoned house, and Talia mocks Mia, and tries to scare Lyla. "I don't understand, Talia. Why do you hate me so much? What did I ever do to you?", I asked.

"I know you never do anything to me, I just want to make your life miserable and I wanted Grayson for myself. But when he chose you over me, I wanted my revenge on you, for stealing him from me!", Talia yelled. "That night at prom, I wanted to test him to see if he'll leave you for me, but rejected me, because of his undying love for you.", Talia replied.

I realised that Grayson had done nothing wrong that night of prom and what he said to me, was right all along. Lyla stood up towards Talia. "Grayson will never love you!", Lyla yelled. "Lyla!", I replied. This makes Talia angry, as she points a gun, loaded with bullets at her.

"Stop!", I cried, protecting my sister from her. Meanwhile, Grayson took the police and my family to the location. "That's the one.", he replied. The SWAT team came out with their snippers, surrounding the house. Jack calls Talia out with a megaphone.

"Talia Connors! This is Sergeant Jack Swann from the L.A.P.D. You and your accomplices have 30 seconds to release the hostages and surrender!", Jack replied. Grayson watch in terror. "I see that must your big brother!", Talia smiled. "Don't do this, Talia. It's not worth it!", I replied, as I try to reason with her.

Talia held the gun at me and I look at her until she lowers the gun. "You're right, it's not worth it.", Talia sighed. Then she smiles evilly at me, "But it'll be worth it for her!", Talia yelled, as she aims at Lyla, who screams and shields herself. "Lyla!", I cried, as I jumped in front of her, as Talia pulls the trigger.

A gunshot was heard! "NO!", Grayson screamed. "Amelia!", Jack cried, as he and his officers ran inside the house. I was shot in the chest, using my own body to shield my sister. I look down and I was bleeding. I collapsed to the ground. "Mia!", Lyla screamed, holding onto me. Talia tries to shot at Lyla, until Jack and his officers arrive.

"L.A.P.D.! Get on your knees!", Jack yelled, as he walks up, pointing his gun. "Drop the gun!", Maria yelled, as she walks up, pointing her gun. "Don't move! Get down!", Jack yelled. Talia drops the gun as she and her friends get on their knees. "Ly-Ly!", Jack cried. "Jacky!", Lyla cried, as Jack hugs her. Lyla cries in his arms as he tries to calm her down.

Maria kicks Talia's gun away, and she and three officers hand cuff Talia and her friends. "Mia!", Jack cried. "Maria, call an ambulance now!", Jack cried, as he held onto my gunshot wound with his hands. "This is Senior Constable Scott, I need an ambulance, we have a female victim, with a gunshot wound to the chest!", Maria replied.

I look at Jack who kept telling me to stay with him, as I lose consciousness and passed out. "Mia, stay awake!", he cried. Maria saw me unconscious which enrages her. As Talia and her friends are about to escorted out, Maria goes to Talia. "Wait!", she cried, as she walks up. "I'll take her!", Maria replied.

Talia looks at her and Maria hit her in the face with her gun. "Ugh!", Talia cried, from the pain, as her nose bled. "That was for Mia!", Maria scoffed. Talia spits at Maria. "Bitch!", she yelled, which angers Jack. "Hey, language!", Jack called out, which got Talia's attention. "Move it!", Maria yelled.

The Lipsticks were escorted out in handcuffs and Grayson and my family watch them get thrown into the police car. The ambulance arrives, and put me onto a stretcher.

Lyla came out unharmed. "Lyla!", Mom cried. "Mom!", Lyla cried, as she runs and hugs my parents and sisters. Then I was escorted out of the house, on a stretcher, by paramedics and Jack later joins by my side.

Grayson is horrified of what he saw. "Mia, no!", he cried as he tries to come to me, but Dad stops him. "Gray, no! Let them do their work!", Dad cried. As I was getting loaded into the ambulance, Jake looks back at my family.

"I'm going with her, meet me at the hospital!", Jack replied, as he jumps in the ambulance with me. "Come on, let's get to the hospital!", Mom replied, as we all drove to the hospital.
