Chapter 9 : Hinata is Absent

So in that flash of lightening Hinata disappeared from Kageyama's sight.

Kageyama also went off track and decided to look for Hinata he looked as long as he could, he looked under every nook, cranny, and trees since he knew about the older boy's fear of thunder.

But since then rain was so cold and Kageyama couldn't see anything he went back on his bike and went home with a guilty heart.

Meanwhile Hinata was hiding under a small willow tree shaking, covering his ears, and closing his eyes. Hoping that someone would come find him.

( Hinata's P.O.V. )

I slowly drift off to sleep under the willow tree and wake up seeing the beautiful night stars, I look down at my watch and realized it was already 9 p.m. and rushed to my bike. I worried that my family might've thought I've gone missing.

As I peddled home I kept coughing and felt dizzy the whole way there. I got home and opened the door to see my mom pacing in front of me.

Hinata's Mom : " Where have you been ??? Your father and I have been worried to death. "

Hinata : " Sorry mom I sat under a willow tree to shelter me from the rain and overslept because I was too exhausted. "

Hinata's Father : " Well we're glad you made it back safely. If you hadn't come back sooner or later the police would be looking for you. "

Hinata's Mom : " I don't think he made it home that safe he's burning up ! "

As my mom moved her hand to my forehead I kept coughing and she announced that I had a fever.

Hinata's Mom : " Oh my goodness sweetie go take a nice warm bath and get into bed I'll make sure your fever will go down. "

Hinata : " Alright mom. "

I trudged upstairs into the bathroom, slowly removed my damp clothes off of me and turned the water on.

I sat in the bathtub and hypothesized what will happen tomorrow. Since I'm sick I won't be at school so what should I do with the day off ?

Hinata began to doze off while still in the bathtub and dreamt a nice dream where everyone accepted him. That specific " everyone " was Kageyama Tobio.

Hinata woke up a couple of minutes later then got ready for bed.

Hinata's mom came in shortly after and placed a steamy, damp towel on the resting boy's head.

It is now the next morning and Hinata woke up feeling better already. His mom made him some soup for breakfast and when it was evening she said to Hinata that she'll be right back. She needed to run some errands.

For the time being in classes all day at school Kageyama could not stop thinking about the absent boy. Kageyama began overthinking that Hinata wasn't at school because of him.

Here comes after school practice and the whole team could feel and see a shift in their amazing setter. Kageyama could not focus on a single damn thing.
