:: Cole's POV::

"Ready babe?" I heard Amelia asked as she waited for me by my bedroom door, Amelia and I started going out when I first met her when we first moved my pack here. She was beautiful and just perfect in every way; I finally finished buttoning my shirt after our little play time.

But every time we do it, it just doesn't feel right but at least I get to let my sexual frustration go until I meet my mate. Although as much as I want Amelia to be my mate so that when she realised why I'm only with her wouldn't hurt her as much as she finds out about the truth.

To be honest, Amelia is such a nice girl and good in bed too but my only sole reason to get in with her is so that I can take over her pack since I heard that their only heir died few years ago and the position has been vacant for a long time but her father still takes care of it until he has someone to take over it which would be me as soon as I mark her but she's been cautious for the past few days so I never had the chance to brought it up.

I walked up to her and planted a kiss on her lips as we headed to her house since she told me that her sister is coming back, which was a bad news for me since Amelia told me that if the alpha position was given to her she would hand it down to its rightful owner which was her baby sister. If this sister of hers takes the position before I mated with Amelia then my entire plan would be useless.

After a few minutes' drive we reached her house, her father Jack greeted me and we both went to his office to talk about joining my pack and his.

After half an hour of discussing about the subject Jack decided to leave it for now because he has to go and greet his daughter, I nodded at him and watch him leaves.

I decided to go to their bathroom and do my businesses until my nostrils hit the most amazing scent, this made my wolf get up in excitement and I wondered what could've caused this.

As I went downstairs I heard some arguments but it soon ended, I looked for the source of it and found an upset looking Anna, Amelia's mom and an angry Jack.

I walked up to Amelia and asked her what happened but she decided not to tell and I decided to put on my good boyfriend act and just let it go.

"Hello Cole," I heard Anna said and I greeted with a hello as well.

"So how's your wedding preparation going?" Anna asked and I just replied with an okay.

While we were conversing that amazing scent hit my nostrils again, this scent was driving my wolf crazy so unconsciously I gripped Amelia's waist tighter until my wolf exclaimed the word I have dreaded to hear.

Mate!

I searched for her and my eyes landed on a pair of chocolate brown eyes, during that little moment I felt like we were the only people in the room until she averted her gaze from me and saw a faint of sadness in her eyes before she covered it up and I must say this made my wolf howl in pain knowing that his mate was in pain.

"Abby!" Amelia exclaimed and I watched as how she forced out a smile to cover up those pain filled eyes of hers.

"Hey, this is my fiancé Cole the alpha from the neighbouring pack and Cole meet my baby sister Abby" Amelia introduced and as a gentleman I offered my hand out but she just stare at it blankly.

"It's Abigail," her voice was emotionless like her eyes that were portraying right now and that hurt.

She ignored my hand and walked pass us.

"Abby, Don't be so rude come back here!" Jack ordered using his alpha tone but surprisingly it didn't affect her one little bit.

"It's alright, you know how teenagers nowadays" I said trying to lighten up the mood, looks like I got a rebel as a mate but no worries because I'll be having fun while teaching her.

"Sorry for my daughter's behaviour she's usually nice," I heard Jack said and I just smile at him and at Amelia who was looking down as if she knew why she was like that.

I was cut from my train of thought when suddenly we heard commotion in the kitchen and instantly we went directly to the kitchen feeling that something bad has happen.

The moment we entered the kitchen I saw my mate pinned her Anna on the wall so tight that her face was going purple. I and Jack instantly went to help her; I grabbed Abby away from Anna as Jack helped her up.

The moment that I and my mate touched my wolf howl in happiness until she hissed, "Get off!" I was taken aback from her feistiness and let her get away from my hold.

After checking Anna if she was okay I quickly made an excuse and left the house in hunt for my mate. It didn't take me long to find her as I can still smell her scent which led to my pack's territory.

I searched for her until I saw her going back but before I could let her leave again I pinned her against the nearest tree and I just can't help myself but kiss her. She tasted so divine.

Before I can deepen the kiss she pushed me away which made me growl.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" she hissed and my wolf didn't like that,

"You will not disrespect me!" I growled at her but she didn't even flinch.

"Well you should respect others so they would do to you!" she growled back and I did too and seeing my mate gets so feisty like this just turns me on.

"You should know our situation 'alpha'" she said as she mocked the word alpha

"I, I'm sorry but I can't leave your sister," I said

"I know, so why don't you just reject me and let us get over this" she said which made me growl and possessively wrapped my arm around her waist.

"No... this is unfair for Amelia and me, so make a decision" she told me as she tries to push me away again.

"I can't..."

"Well, I can't hurt my sister as well"

"Why don't we stay like fuck buddies, this would both benefit us with our sexual frustrations, since you'll be on heat soon as you met your mate I'm the one who can only help you but I can't leave Amelia... I love her" I said and hated the moment I said those words, but I can't let my mate ruin my plan I waited for a long time for this and all I need is her pack...

"Sure" she said which took be off guard and watched her as she quickly left. I never expected her to agree but I guess that's good for me!
