"we will set up camp here." he said. "I worry the bed may not be comfortable for you."

"Haven't you noticed, sleeping is my talent?" I said, yawning and rubbing my neck. Although I did not want to sleep outdoors, complaining will not get me anywhere. He laughed at my comment. Yes, I need to charm him so he will not hurt me like his siblings.

I stretched out my tired back as my husband went down to assist me out. I had to wear my hood to keep me warm since the evening brought out the cold air. It took a few steps but soon, we were able to meet with our team.

Camp was already set when I got out, complete with huge tents. It looked like the area we were at were traditional pilgrimage camping sites since it looked like a vacant lot that had been cleared out. There were spaces for camp and a huge space for the carriages and even a place to tie horses.

The priests were already cooking our meals while the knights were building a few more tents.

My husband led me to the tent in the middle most area. Inside the tent was brazier making the place comfortable. Naturally, the warmth attracted me to it. I did not expect that they would provide a mattress, big enough for my husband and I to squeeze in. The mattress was even propped up by a head board less bed. There were even seats and a table as well as layers of carpet and decors.

"I hope you don't mind how small this place is." he said. The tent was about 30sqm. In other countries, some people have families living in that size. I thought that the tent was very large in the first place.

I sat on one of the soft chairs near the brazier and found it comfortable. "We're married, Husband. Being humble towards me won't get you far."

"I am not being humble. I am stating only facts." he said, sitting beside me.

I looked at how serious he seemed and I wondered if he will be having difficulty sleeping in that kind of bed that night. "You dislike sleeping outdoors?" I asked him.

He shook his head. "it's not a matter of sleeping outdoors or indoors. This kind of setup is difficult for a lady to sleep in"

I looked at the vase that had been placed as well as the flowers that had been arranged thoughtfully as well as the other decors inside that tent. I found it extravagant.

"I imagined it will be sleeping in the great outdoors underneath the stars." I said. "it's not something I would like to do, but if we have no choice, it is not something worth complaining about. I appreciate this lovely tent. I think it is more than adequate"

"Do you think I will allow that, you sleeping out in the open?"

"Oh, Instant Husband, do you not find that idea any bit romantic at all?"

"Of course not. Even if I allow it, the priests will be angry. "

Alright I suppose that is one good thing about his male chauvinism. He would prioritise my comfort.

Instant husband then informed me, "My tent is beside yours on your left from the door."

"Are we not sharing this tent?" I accidentally held onto his hand as I said it. Although I had some paranoia with him, he was the most reliable person I knew in that place. He seemed to know more than others and was the most patient with me. I suspected he can hurt me if his paranoia flaired up, but a part of me still recognised him as a husband.

"You are a lady. We cannot share tents." he said matter of factly.

"But, what if someone else comes in?" I reasoned out. Although I was not as afraid as before since there were braziers that emitted light, I was worried of my own safety. Even if I can survive being mutilated, I was afraid of pain. Despite me making plans of running away from him, if I had not known he murdered some of his siblings and framed his step mothers, I had to admit being, with him had always made me feel safe. Even if there was a possibility of him being manipulative. I had already accepted him as a family member, because he was the only one.
