Missed Connection

Chapter 1

Jc's PoV
"Hey Lia, I was wondering if you wanted to film a video together?" I said. I really liked Lia and I wanted to film with her so badly.

"Oh sure! When?" She says. I'm so shocked she said yes I can't breathe. "Oh maybe tomorrow night would be great," I said. Honestly I have plans Tuesday night, but I'll cancel for Lia. "Alright. I'll be over around 5-ish. Okay?" She says. "Okay." I say.

"I have to go, but I'll see you tomorrow night. Bye," She says. "Bye," I say with a half smile. She walks out of my apartment as I stare at her beautiful long blonde hair. I want her to be my girlfriend so badly, but I know she doesn't have feelings for me. So I'm not asking her out or even confessing my feelings for her for a while.

I walk into my bedroom and see Ricky and Kian sitting on my bed. "Smooth dude," Says Kian. "What?" I ask. I hope this isn't going where I think its going. "You know! We both know you like Lia. You need to tell her!" Ricky demands. "Guys! You know she doesn't like me. So why should I tell her? I wanna wait until the perfect time. Okay? Please understand," I plead. I can't let them tell Lia. "Alright, alright. We won't tell her. But, we can't make any promises about teasing you," Kian says. "Oh my God thank you!" I say. "Now you two need to get out of my room. I need to pick out what to wear-" Oh no. I'm acting like a girl! Trying to figure out what to wear! "I need to pick out what to wear for bed!" I say. They are idiots if they believe that. "Okay. I'll leave you to it," says Ricky. He leaves the room, but Kian stays. "Kian. I said leave," I say. "I hope you know I didn't fall for that," he says. "Shit," I say under my breathe. He laughs as he leaves my bedroom. He knows me too well.

I walk over to my closet to pick out what to wear.

*Tuesday night*

Jc's PoV

"Okay guys. Lia is gonna be here in about 10 minutes. Don't screw this up for me," I say to Kian and Ricky. Even though I say that they won't listen.

"Like we said Jc, we promise we won't mention anything about, well, you and her. But, we don't promise about messing around with you. Alright?" Ricky says. I know them. They tease like nobody's business.

"Alright. Thanks," I say. "I have to go get dressed. I'll see ya'll in a second," I say while running to my room.

"Jc!" yells Kian.

"What?" I yell back. Now what does he want?

"Your already dressed dude!" he says. I walk back to him so I can hear him better. "And? This isn't okay! I need to be more clean! I need to take a shower, shave, do my hair.." I trail off. What am I saying?

"You have to be kidding me right now," says Ricky. "Your making a video. Not going to Prom!"

"Yeah and? I really like Lia and I want to impress her," I say. "By 'impressing' you mean dressing up like your meeting the President. Here, how about this. You go and eat something while me and Ricky pick out your outfit. Okay?" says Kian. This is going to be a bad idea. "Okay fine. Just make it look good, okay?"

"Oh trust me you'll love it," says Kian.

I walk into the kitchen to get a snack. I get some leftover pizza from last night and heat it up. Once its done I grab some water and sit back down on the couch. I begin to eat but then I get a call from Lia. I immediently put down my food and answer my phone.

"Hello?" I say.
"Hey Jc! Its Lia. I'm really sorry but I'm gonna have to cancel filming tonight," she says. I almost drop my phone. "Wait, why?" I ask. "Um, well, I forgot I told Andrea I'd film with her! Sorry Jc. If you need someone to film with I know Jenn needed someone to film with. How about you call her?" she says. I'm so stunned I don't say anything for a second. "Okay, well I have to go... see you later?" she says. "Oh uh yeah of course," I say. I hang up and sit there for a second. She canceled? But why? I'm not sure I believe she's going to film with Andrea.

I may as well call up Jenn. I pick my phone back up and unlock it. I open my contacts and scroll threw until I find the contact labled 'Jenn'.

The phone rings for a little but until she picks up. "Hello?" she says. "Oh yeah hey Jenn. Its Jc. I was wondering if you wanted to come over and film? I was going to film with Lia but she canceled," I say. "Oh uh yeah sure I needed someone to film with anyways," she says. "Okay well if you could come over in about um," I look at the time. 4:30. "Could you come over in about 30 minutes?" I ask. "Yeah I'll be over then. Bye," she says. "Bye," I say. My pizza is cold now.
