NIALL's POV

I groan, and awaken from my short sleep. I raise my head up, and take a quick glance around.

Maybe I should do something today, instead of just staying at home and constantly exposing myself to deadly rays.

I'll go to the new mall. That's what I'll do. I don't need new clothes, but a new pair of sneakers would be cool for when school returns.

I jump out of bed, and throw on my usual clothing. I place my wallet, that's loaded from chores money Robert gives me, in my pocket.

A deep noise runs through my stomach, as my hunger rises. But I now know that food doesn't fill me up. McDonalds didn't even make me full last night. I dismiss my hunger, and walk to the bathroom.

The new jar of hair gel sits on the sink's counter. Robert bought it for me, claiming that it will help me catch the ladies. But as I'm on a school break, I haven't used it. This whole break, I've pretty much stayed in.

But hey, girls are all over clothing stores, so why not use it today? I place a careful amount in my hair, and style it up into a quiff.

I examine myself in the mirror, and my royal blue eyes stare back at me. They almost don't look real, like they're just colored contacts.

I look up to my quiff, which makes me look more classy than my normal bangs. I grin, and step out of the bathroom.

I put on my raincoat, and go down the stairs to get some rubber gloves. They sit in the same place as last time, in the electricity room. Everything flashes on, and the wires along the walls begin to swing back and forth. I dash over, and put on the gloves.

Things settle down, and I sigh in relief. When I walk out, I take a glance towards the hallway. I feel a pull in my body to go there, but I stop myself. I can't keep doing this.

So instead, I take myself back up the stairs without a second of thought. Robert's shoes by the front door are gone, which tells me that he left. His space job probably called him in to work there today.

I shrug it off, and put on my tennis shoes. Since the car is gone, I decide to just walk to the mall. It's not too far from the mansion. The only long part is walking out of the property, which is about a mile long.

With my yellow rubber raincoat and gloves on, I confidently walk out of the house. My slow pace turns into a run, and my body doesn't even feel fatigued. Time goes by quickly, and I see the long white building appear.

I walk in the first entrance I see, and go straight to the directory to find a shoe store. My eyes scan the list, and I pick the one with the coolest sounding name.

Some girls in the hallway glance at me, and others full on check me out. I smile to myself, feeling happy that I finally got girl attention.

The store comes into sight, and I eagerly walk in. Rows and rows of expensive shoes ly along the walls. I examine each one intently, looking along the racks.

"May I help you with anything?" A forced, polite voice asks me.

I nod, and turn around to the source. "Yeah, a nice, cool-looking pair of running shoes would be great."

I smile, but once my eyes recognize his face, my cheery expression changes. The familiar hazel eyes instantly told me who it was.

"Aiden?" His name comes out bitter in my voice.

Aiden smirks, crossing his arms. "Well if it isn't Niall."

My frown deepens, and I pull us aside from attention. He stumbles along, shock written over his face at my urgency.
