It's dark, so dark that I couldn't even see anything. I couldn't breathe. Suddenly I felt someone's fingers getting wrapped around my neck. His hold is getting tighter and tighter as the clock ticked. I tried to wiggle out of his grip but can't.I can't breathe. My face turned red and his knuckles turned white due to the strong grip. I kept hitting him to leave me, but he didn't. My chest heaved up and down and slowly I can sense myself getting blue due to lack of oxygen.
"L-Leave, D-don't." I tried to speak.
Tears pooled in my eyes as I thought I couldn't breathe anymore.
Out of a sudden I saw a huge spotlight above me, making my vision clear but a little blurry, with my tears. That's when the person who was chocking me disappeared and my surroundings changed to that of place near a lake.
I heard a familiar voice crying for help and saw a girl drowning in water and struggling hard to live.
My dad stood there with a blank face watching the girl struggling and crying for help.
"Please daddy help. I can't breathe. Please." she cried and called him daddy the way I used to call him when I was a child. That's when I realized that, that was me when I was in my highschool uniform. My height shrinked and I'm looking I was in my teens. The one who was drowning was me.
My mother stood behind him watching my smaller version crying her heart out, she just looked at her with concern still she didn't raise her voice nor did she stepped forward to help me.
My bully's back from the school stood near my mom laughing at me trying hard to live, Hazel was there watching too, standing beside my dad she spoke crying.
"Dad who's she? Why is she calling you daddy?" She asked tugging my father's shirt and that's when my father diverted his gaze away from the girl in the water and looked at Hazel with a warm smile. The smile and warmth which I was never gifted with.
"No one, she's just a mistake, the mistake that I shouldn't have committed and now she's nothing but a burden. Ignore her. Let's just go from here sweetie." He took hold of her hand and left the place without even turning back.
My mother slumped on the ground crying for me, still she didn't think I wanted her help, how can she move she was busy crying for her poor daughter drowning. That's when I felt stepped forward holding her hand and brought her to the shore.
Coughing all the water out she cried hugging me. Lifting her head up I saw her still crying while nuzzling her eyes. Y/n! You shouldn't cry. No then and not now and never in future.
"W-Who are you?" she asked crying.
"I'm you y/n, but a older version. Why are you crying?" I asked and she cried hugging me.
