"Jäger.." Bandit whispered.
Jäger was breaking down from the sight of Bandit before him, holding his face close to his own. Bandit was frowning at the younger operator, he hadn't known that Jäger would do such a thing for him. He knew Jäger had his hard times but he always won easily with a friend. He never thought Jäger would be the one to kill himself, that's Bandit's job. That's why it scared him.
"Why would you even consider suicide? I was still alive even if I was in a coma for god know how long." Bandit snapped, bringing Jäger's face closer to his to try to intimidate his friend. It failed, Jäger just put his one hands on Bandit's and moved them down to his sides.
Jäger looked down and sighed, he knew suicide was never the answer but when it came to Bandit, he would jump off a bridge into spiked if he asked him to. Jäger moved forward and wrapped his arms around his older friend as best as he could, hugging him tightly.
"I thought I was going to lose you.... I can't handle the thought of losing someone like you. You've done nothing but help me and- and I would jump off a bridge if you told me to. It's the best I-I could do to repay you." Jäger explained, hiccuping a few times from crying.
Bandit just pulled Jäger closer to him in a desperate attempt to get closer to his younger friend. Jäger had crawled on his bed by now, clinging to Bandit's shirt with the same death grip he had on Blitz and IQ while they were hugging a few months ago.
"You don't have to do anything for me, Jäger... Just being there and being you is enough for me." Bandit sighed, smiling down at Jäger.
As they laid there, holding each other, Gustave walked into the room. Apparently he had been assigned to help Bandit once he awoke because he knew the operator better than any doctor.
"Dominic, Marius. It's good to see you two together again, I almost thought Marius was going to hurt himself. But, sadly, that's not why I am here." Gustave explained.
Bandit and Jäger looked at each other and then back at Gustave, Jäger made the smart decision of getting off Bandit's bed and sitting back in the chair. He was tense and Bandit sensed it, so he took Jäger's hand in his own and held it tightly. Jäger looked up and Bandit with the softest smile he's ever seen, it was so genuine yet so sad that he wanted to just hold his friend close and never let go.
"Fortunately, Dominic, you will live and you're perfectly fine now. You can actually leave tomorrow." Gustave started and Bandit opened his mouth to talk but was cut off by Gustave.
"No you cannot leave early today, we have to make sure how long you'll have before you can do a mission again. We don't want you getting hurt again, anywho, for the bad news. You probably can't do training or missions for about a month." Gustave spoke softly, breaking the bad news to an already upset Bandit.
"That's ass." Bandit said plain and simply, making Gustave smile and Jäger quietly giggled.
"This really makes me want to just not get hurt again." Bandit sighed.
"I mean seriously, I gotta try harder. Scheiß auf diese Scheiße..." Bandit said, cursing in German.
Gustave smiled, but frowned, not knowing what he said. On the other hand Jäger was smiling like an idiot at Bandit's remark.
"He said Fuck that shit." Jäger smiled , Gustave then smiled a toothy grin and turned his head to the hallway.
"You have visitors, bonne chance." Gustave smiled, walking out of the room.
At that moment in time, IQ and Blitz walked into the room. Jäger noticed that Doc was talking to Rook outside the room, apparently Rook had come to visit his friend too but stopped to catch up with Doc to get Bandit's status.
"Dominic!" IQ screamed and he ran to his side and gave him a bear hug.
"Heilige Scheiße, Monika!" Bandit screeched, hugging her back but trying desperately to stop her from hugging too tight, as he was still in pain.
"Monika!" Blitz yelled as he rushed over to her, Jäger smiled at the sight of his friends. Blitz was trying his hardest to pry IQ off of the poor Bandit who looked scared for his life.
Jäger, for the first time in 6 months, giggled a little loud. Iq pushed herself off Bandit and looked at Jäger, shocked. Everyone turned to him, the same expression on all their faces, except Bandit who was confused as to why the other two were so shocked. Someone who had been so close to killing himself for the past 6 months just giggled at the sight of his friends. Jäger smiled brightly at his friends as they all stared at him.
"Er kicherte!" IQ screamed, smiling from ear to ear at Jäger. She looked over to Blitz who had his arms around her waist and was smiling like a proud parent.
"He did!" Blitz smiled brightly, looking back at IQ.
IQ released herself from Blitz's grasp and excused herself to talk to Doc. Blitzz let her leave and stood in the same spot, looking down at Bandit. They started making small talk and Rook walked in, he had finished his conversation with his boyfriend and had decided to see his friend.
"How are you holding up, Dominic?" Rook asked, his words were thick with a French accent.
