Tobias' POV
I can't believe Tris is back! I never thought I'd see her again, but here I am holding her hand as we go back to the others. I honestly was close to suicide when I thought she'd died. I'm glad I didn't though, because now she's here with me, again. This is truly one of the best days of my life. A few minutes ago I would have said it was the worst day of my life, but that changed durasticly. I am so glad Tris is alive. Now, I have to protect her. That is exactly what I intend to do.
Tris' POV
I love Tobias. He is taking this so incredibly well. Especially because everyone thought I was dead. He told me earlier that he was close to killing himself, but I'm glad he didn't. I don't know what I'd do without him.
As I am thinking these things, we find our way back to my funeral. Who knew I'd be able to crash my own funeral? I see Christina in Uriah's embrace as she cries, sobbing every few seconds. I run over to her. When she turns around, she looks like she's seen a ghost. Wait, she thinks I'm dead.
"Christina, it's okay. I'm not a ghost. I'm alive! It's me Tris, your best friend, or should I say sister." I tell her hoping she'll see it really is me. Instead of hugging me she just talks to me.
"Tris? Are you sure you're not a ghost or something? I kind of don't want to sound like a lunatic in front of these people. Uriah, you see her too, don't you?" She asks with a halfway smile.
"Yes, Christina, we can all see her! Tris, this is so amazing, but I'm going to leave the questions to Christina." Uriah says. He woke up a couple days ago.
"OMG! Tris, tell me everything! I want to know!" Christina shrieks.
"Later, you all should go back to Dauntless. We'll be there soon. We have some unfinished business to attend to first." I tell them.
They smile and go back to get their belongings without question. I run back to Tobias, who is talking to Zeke. Zeke came back with Tobias and Christina to see Uri. Tobias tells him the same thing I told Uri and Christina, to get back to Dauntless HQ.
-------------------
We went back to pack our things as well. We got everything we need to make an escape, after we do one small task. Kill David. He is going to get what he deserves for trying to kill me, then making me go through tests while my friends suffer the "loss" of their friend. Who would do such a thing!?!?!?
Everyone else heads out, and Amar, Tobias, and I stay behind. After we kill David, Amar will be taking us back to Dauntless. He will also be disarming the cameras in the Bureau, so they can't see what's going on in Chicago anymore.
When Tobias and I are finished packing, we go over the plan one last time. Then, the plan is in motion. I go in after David with Tobias, while Amar cuts off the camera signals and gets the truck.
Four and I climb down the staircase where I heard David's cruel voice. It's so evil you can't miss it. I finally have a shot at him when he moves to the left. So, I hold up my loaded gun. Inhale aim, exhale fire. He slumps to the ground, dead.
We run to find Amar in his truck. He is right where he is supposed to be. Tobias and I hop in the truck, and we head back to the Dauntless compound.
We get there in under two hours, because Amar drove so fast. We realize that we can't let anyone assume we were gone for two months, so we get on one of the trains. We jump onto the building I was first to jump off of. Then I remember Tobias' fear of heights. I grab his hand and we jump off together without a single word.
When we finally get to the bottom, I pull Tobias into my embrace. After a few minutes, Amar jumps onto the net. Tobias and I silently run back to our apartment. At least I think it's our apartment. Amar goes to stay with Zeke and Caleb. I think Caleb has to go back to Erudite sometime soon, though. Tobias seems to hate Caleb, probably because of me though.
Tobias and I finally reach the door to his apartment, and he pulls me inside. Tobias pulls me to his chest and I start to sob. Even though I don't remember deciding to cry.
