8. Trick

The earpiece was constantly buzzing in Felix's ear, even if no one was talking. They really should get new ones sooner or later as it was just so irritating.
Luckily, he could just blend it out most of the time to concentrate on the task at hand, like now.

The roof he was sitting on wasn't exactly high but from there he could see inside of the bar so he could overlook the whole situation quite good.

"Can you see him, Felix?", he could hear Chan's voice resonating in his hear, cracking in between because of the cheap electronic.
"Yeah, he sat down at the bar. But I haven't seen Bonhwa yet" he told him, getting a short hum from the older. 

After that, it went silent again, besides the buzzing of course but Felix quickly blended it out once he found something more interesting to concentrate on. 

Bonhwa came into sight, sitting down close to Hyunjin, apparently watching the boy. 
Hyunjin also seemed to have noticed the man, looking over to him with a smile every now and then.

The game has started.

Quicker than expected, Hyunjin had the man come over to him, talking to him like it was nothing. He didn't even seem nervous anymore. 
Hyunjin was good in what he was doing because it didn't take long before the man ordered a drink for him as he leaned down to Hyunjin ear, whispering something, to which Hyunjin giggled in reply.

From the outside perspective, Felix could see that the man actually only did that to see if Hyunjin was wearing an earpiece, making Felix relieved that they didn't give the boy one before. 

After that, the two seemingly chatted normally a bit, even though Bonhwa was constantly coming closer to the boy.

Basing on Hyunjin response to whatever Bonhwa told him, he could guess that they were about to leave the bar together, so he quickly notified the others to pay attention to any movement from now on.

Felix honestly couldn't tell if Hyunjin really was drunk or if he just pretended to be, after all, the boy didn't drink that much... unless Bonhwa drugged his drink-
He quickly shook off the thought, just hoping for the best and that Hyunjin had taken good care of his drink.

Hyunjin was constantly leaning onto the older man while trying to hold his balance, looking like he was telling Bonhwa which way to go, which was also a signal for Felix to move along with them, staying close so he could easily intervene.

Once the two got into an alley no one would ever look into, Felix climbed off the roof and followed them into the shadows.
Soon, he was close enough to hear if they should say something to another. 

"Are you sure this is your way home?", the man asked in a raspy voice.
"Yeah, this is the quickest way... I usually don't take it though, there are some creepy people lingering around here" Hyunjin told him with a shy voice.
"I'm sure there are. This isn't a usual neighbourhood for something pretty like you" Bonhwa responded, Felix could hear the grin in his voice.
"It's scary" Hyunjin admitted, moving closer to the man, practically forcing him to put his hand around Hyunjin's waist in a protective manner.

Hyunjin pretended to trip, looking backwards and spotting Felix not so far behind. 

"Hey, Bonhwa... it's still so far until we get there, why don't we just do it now?", Hyunjin asked innocently.
Within a split second, he found himself pinned against the brick wall, hitting his head on it slightly.
"Hey, hey now, not so fast, that hurt" Hyunjin laughed but his eyes weren't converting the funny tone at all.
"Really? You seem like the type who would like it rather rough" Bonhwa smirked "you're up to do it in a dirty alley like this, anyway, a bit of pain always raises the pleasure" he added, lowering his head to be on the same height as Hyunjin

Felix already had his knuckleduster in hand, coming closer to the two, step by step, silently. But before he could properly act, Hyunjin hit his head against the older man's nose, causing him to stumble backwards.

"You brat! What are you doing?!", the man yelled at him, ready to hit him but Hyunjin was faster, ducking away under the man's fist so he almost punched the wall if he would've been one step closer to it.

He turned around to Hyunjin, ready to swing at him again but the boy stood there, holding a gun towards him.
"Where did you get that?", the man asked with a grim expression.
"From your holster" Hyunjin shrugged "you shouldn't carry your weapons that openly. And you also shouldn't just carry one. Shouldn't you know better?", Hyunjin asked him.

Bonhwa was surprised but definitely not scared of Hyunjin, everyone knew that but the man still wanted to know what he was all about.

"You knew exactly that I would trick you. So why did you let me play this?", Hyunjin asked. "You would've taken me to your place, somewhere no one would find me afterwards just like you did with my dad" he spat, not even shaking while still holding the gun.

Bonhwa only laughed at that. "So you think what happened to your father was my fault?", he smirked. "Oh, if you knew, boy. He was in a lot more dirty business than I am, it was clear what would happen but he still kept going" he continued with a laugh. "Your dad was a dirty man, Hyunjin. And I should know it, right? I was his partner in crime for so many years, you weren't even born then".

"My father is dead, it doesn't matter what he did. But you're still alive and you'll pay for it" Hyunjin growled, lowering the gun and shooting the man in his leg. "Too bad that I won't be taking care of that" he sighed, throwing the gun back so it landed in front of Felix's feet.

"I hope I did well enough," he said with a weak smile, not even waiting for Felix to respond before walking away from the scene.
