Slowly my eyes began to flutter open. I was greeted by a dull, gray and dingy hospital ceiling. Not this again, I mentally muttered to myself. Trips to the hospital were a part of my daily life until age 8 when I was claimed to be "Cancer Free". Well let me tell you something, those doctors were liars. Last night I relapsed and god knows what the journey will be like this time.
"Hi sweetie, how are you doing?"
"I'm fine mom, some water would be nice." I was in no mood to be dealing with my overwhelimg family at the moment. What I was in the mood for was to sit in my room alone... And find out what other cancer patient wa sharing a room with me.
"Mom, I thought cancer patients weren't allowed to share rooms?"
"I'm sorry, it's only a temporary thing, I will have them change it ASAP if that's what you want"
"No, no it's okay, I want to get to know them."
She simply shrugged her shoulders and exited the room in search of my water. Once I heard the door close, I peeled myself out of the nasty hospital sheets and pulled over the curtain seperating the two beds, revealing a young boy, about my age. His blonde hair was sprawled all over the place, and you could see the patches where hair had fallen out. But what had caught my attention was his electric blue eyes. I found myself getting lost within them until I heard the boy speak up,
"Can I help you?'
"No, I'm sorry, um, just trying to meet my new roomie" I facepalmed myself for saying something so stupid to such a cute boy.
He let out a small chuckle then replied " Well, my name is Luke, and you are?"
"Samantha, but please call me Sam"
"Well, Samantha-" Luke began until he was rudely cut off by my mother walking into the room.
"Sam I told you to stay in bed until I got back! The nurses are coming in to see you soon!"
I slumped my shoulder and started to walk over to my bed, barely picking up my feet. As I was reaching my side of the room, I heard Luke speak up,
"See you around roomie."
As I went to respond my mother pulled the hostpital curtain, seperating me from the blue eyed boy.
A/N: OMGGGGGGG!!!! SO sorry it sucks guys! This is just the beginning though. I have a lot planned for Sam and Luke!!! Please tell me what you guys think so far and I promise future chapters will start to get longer and more interesting, but as you know I have to get started somewhere! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me what you guys think and I'm rambling a lot wow I'm such an awkward penguin lol
