Lucy Heartfilia

A Chance

Silence fill the table. Only sound heard is the spoon and fork cluttering. Awkward is the most accurate word to describe this atmosphere. Lucy cannot hold this anymore.

"Fine, I forgive you papa." she said.

Tears form in Jude's eye. He never thought Lucy will ever forgive him.

"Thank you Lucy. Papa will try my best this time." he promised her.

Soon the awkward atmosphere become lively fill with talking and laughter of the father and daughter. They catch up with each other. Jude get to know Lucy's friends and offer to let them live here. Jellal and Ultear is thankful for his kindness. They swear to stay by Lucy's side and protect her. The dinner end and all of them went to their rooms.

Lucy told her friends to sleep well and get ready tomorrow as they going to Ur letting her know about Ult.

Standing in front of mirror, she realise she has grown a bit taller than before. Her face also start to mature. But it still show she a child.

"Are you guys ready?" she ask her friends.

"Yup." they replied.

This time Lucy told her father where she going. Her father also aware of her strong magic and do not question anything. He believes when the time comes, his daughter would let him know. He want to give Lucy privacy.

They teleport themselves and in front of them is an inn.

"Gosh this place is so cold." Jellal state while covering himself with the cloak.

"Geez what do you expect? My mother is an ice wizard." Ult said.

Lucy knock the door while making sure her face is hidden in the cloak.

"Who is it?" a tired sound heard and a woman come out.

"U-ultear..." Ur exclaim surprise seeing her daughter standing there and quickly hug her while crying.

"Where have you been? What happen to you? I miss you so much." she cried out pitifully. She scan Ult looking for any injury or scar.

"Well let's continue this inside should we? Jellal is freezing out here." Lucy's said although she want to give Ur time to collect herself, she pitied Jellal who's shivering right there.

Ur quickly notice there is Lucy and Jellal standing beside Ultear. She apologised and usher them to come in. They all sit on the couch.

Lucy's P.O.V

I narate the story what happen after Ur send Ultear for help. Just like what i told Ult, i tell her the doctor were lying to her that Ult has died. They just want to use Ult strong magic for their selfish reason.

Ur feel guilty to her daughter. I guess Ult saw this so she said.

"Mama don't be sorry, I don't blame you for this. Lucy already explain everything to me. I'm willing to give you a chance. I miss you too, mama."

I notice Gray and Lyon is not here.

"Where's your students Ur?"

"Oh after you saved us, I believe they need their own journey so i send them away separately. I know they can survive this. Before they go i train them harshly. Hehehe." Ur replied.

"You know where they are now?" i ask.

"I think Lyon is in a guild name Lamia Scale while Gray is in Fairy Tail." she answered.

Ah, so they already gone.

"Well since they not here. Let me introduce myself. My name is Lucy Heartfilia. " i said while pushing my cloak to the back revealing my face.

"H-heartfilia! You are a noble. How can you be this strong and alone. And still a child." Ur question shock at my revelation.

Likewise I ignore question about why I am strong while being in my age and a noble. She understand I don't want to answer her question and change the topic.

"So this is Jellal? Where do you know him?" Ur ask.

"Yes. I save him from Tower of Heaven."

"Tower of Heaven?"

"That place is instruct by the dark people trying to revive Zeref." i said nonchalantly.

Different expression shown on their faces. Like Ur wonder is that the truth while Jellal and Ult wonder how do i know it. So before they ask these i said

"Please don't ask unnecessary questions. Just keep it to yourself. I'm not going to answer it anyway. Or try to figure it out by yourself. "

They got the warn clearly and shut their mouth. We keep talking until late at night. Then i remember something.

"Oh by the way, do you remember our deal?" i ask Ur.

"Yes, of course. So what do you want?"

"I'm planning to take Ult with me. She going to be my underlings. You don't need to worry about her. She will visit you frequently."

Ur just keep silent. I afraid she will not allow this.

"Actually I already expect this. Of course my answer is yes. After all, Ult need a mentor that her power is stronger than her. I believe you can do it." she said smiling softly.

We smiled at her response. She taking it well. As expect of Ur. We keep talking and soon take our leaves. We part away and teleport to the mansion.

We greet my father and return to our respective rooms. I told them our next days going to be harsh training by me and to be ready for it.
