Scene 3: The Party

Regeena:
I haven't had this much fun since well, ya know.

Rejina:

We know.

Gretchen:

Shouldn't we finish this soon? I mean, I don't even know where we're going.

Regeena:

Me neither. This is the randomest non plagiarizing musical ever.

Gretchen:

But then, how will it end-

Rejina:

I guess I have to be the bigger person...

Gretchen/Regeena:

WE SENSE THE SONG CUE-

Rejina:

Nah, not this time.

But maybe if I stepped down, the school wouldn't be a war zone. People would be safer from Nola's wrath.

Regeena:

Are you kidding? Nola would be a total tyrant-

(Backstage operator rushes out from the corner of the screen and hands Regeena a stack of money, while whispering something inaudible to her. Regeena looks ruefully at Rejina)

Regeena:

I mean. Yeah, you should step down. It's, like, your choice but...make the choice you want. Do what's best for the school...

Gretchen (sings while dramatic music plays in the background):

Noooo-oooohhhhh

Don't step downnnnnnn

(Camera pans in on Rejina's face)

Rejina:

I'm sorry. I'm going to step down from the throne.

It's the right thing to do.

Everyone:

GAASP!

Nola (entering dramatically, smashing the door):

YES!

I WON!

As my first order of business, I decree that EVERYONE ditch this trash can and come to my shed!

Gretchen:

That sounds super sketchy...

Regeena:

NOT SO FAST, NOLA!

Nola:
WHO DARES DISOBEY MY ORDER???

Regeena:

IT IS TIME FOR THE UNPREDICTED BEST FRIEND BETRAYAL...although it was totally predictable and, unlike normal musicals, everyone is cheering for me 'cause no one likes Nola.

Nola:

AND WHAT CAN YOU DO??? I REALLY don't need you anymore now that I won the throne!

Regeena:

(Intense music plays as the scene cuts)
