You found yourself staring at the tall, black-haired boy in the sea of Karasuno's volleyball club. Kageyma had slunk to the back of the group of volleyball players, not making any conversation with you or his teammates. But you hadn't forgotten what happened–no, not yet. Not when his body was responsible for your shoulder being sore for half a day! You sent an icy glare in his direction, which he reciprocated with his own animous eyes.

Confront Kageyma
After thinking it over for a bit, you decided to confront Kageyama for almost steamrolling you on your first day of school. The unwanted stares people gave you that day were enough to spook your socks off, and you couldn't let the fact that he'd slammed into you without so much as an apology go. Plus, you'd already forgotten to ask Hinata about the incident multiple times, and you really couldn't afford to forget anymore. If you waited too long, your anger would quell itself.
You answered a few of the team's questions, waiting for your chance to slip to the back of the group. When the opportunity came, you edged your way to Kageyama, who stared at you blankly. Once you were sure you that the other members were loud enough to block out the sound of you and Kageyama's incoming bickering, you began your interrogation.
"So why didn't you apologize for bumping into me, huh?"
He blinked. The sharp look he'd been giving you faded away to reveal his confused visage.
"Not gonna talk? My shoulder was sore for a half a day because of you!" You hissed.
Kageyama didn't make a sound, nor did he move an inch. Heat crept up your cheeks as he continued to stare at your face blankly.
"Me? I bumped into you?" He finally broke the silence in the air with his deep voice. "When?"
"A week ago." You said matter-of-factly.
Silence again.
"When?"
You'd just about had it with this guy. You were supposed to be embarrassing him, but he'd completely turned the tables on you! You're telling me he doesn't even remember what he did that morning? How many people does he bump into a day?!
"Forget it." You huffed. You clenched and unclenched your clammy hands, cringing inwardly at the failed confrontation. "Just don't come near me from now on, okay?"
"What do you mean? Is this about me telling you to hurry and pick a drink? I didn't mean for it to come out that way. You were just taking way too long-"
"No," you cut him off, exasperated. "You may not remember, but a few days ago, Hinata was chasing you before school and you bumped into me really hard. I almost fell over because of how hard you hit me."
For a second, you thought you saw a hint of recognition in his eyes. But that tiny sparkle was soon replaced by his dumbfounded expression, and you gave up on helping him recollect the memory, choosing instead to walk back to the center of the horseshoe.
This guy is so frustrating! Is he pretending not to remember so I'll be more embarrassed?! Or does he actually not remember?
Sulking, you returned to Hinata's side, just in time for the first bell signaling all students to head to their homerooms.
"You okay, Y/N?" Hinata asked as you two fast-walked to class together.
"Mhmm." You replied, though your balled up fists told a different story.

Continue glaring
While the boys of the Karasuno volleyball club chatted away, you and Kageyma engaged in a staring contest of epic proportions. Both of you remained unblinking, eyes boring into one another's in two strong efforts to communicate hatred without verbal speech.
"Y/N?" Hinata called out to you. You broke eye contact with Kageyama for a split second to check on your friend, but he'd taken it as a sign of your surrender. By the time you'd looked back at him, a devilish grin had already painted itself over his features, and he stared at you with a satisfied look on his face. He sipped at the milk in his carton happily, without a care in the world. Just the sight of his cocky face made your blood boil. However, as per the silent rules of your competition, you reluctantly admitted defeat.
"Stupid Kageyama..." You mumbled. You thought of the way he'd drawn so much unwanted attention to you by almost knocking you over, reeling in embarrassment. You thought of the smug look on his face when he told you to hurry up and pick a drink, the joy that made itself visible when your face twisted in slight panic. If first impressions could kill, Kageyama would have been long dead in your eyes. Sulking, you stayed by Hinata's side, snapping back to life just as the first bell rang. It was time to head to class.
"We'll be going now!" Hinata said. He almost didn't realize that you'd been glaring at Kageyama for the duration of the conversation. But the moment the light bulb went off in his head, Hinata blurted out, "Oh, yeah! Kageyama almost knocked you down on the first day of school, right?" And while the rest of the team was out of earshot by this point, one gray-haired, mom-like figure in particular heard it loud. and. clear.
"Yeah. He didn't even apologize for it." You sighed. "But it doesn't matter. Let's head to class."
Portraits of Kageyama's face somehow burned themselves into the back of your memory as you stomped off with Hinata in tow, only fueling your anger.
"You okay, Y/N?" Hinata asked.
"Mhmm." You replied through clenched teeth, though your balled up fists told a different story.
