As soon as Jennie left the scene, Chaeyoung grabbed Lisa's hand, leading the Thai woman in a more secluded part of the place. Lisa almost fainted when Chaeyoung held her hand. It was surreal, she had been longing for the woman's touch. For the past three years, all she wanted was to hold Chaeyoung's hand and here they are, It has been so, so, long. Can she and Chaeyoung just sneak out of here to finally have their happy ending?
But as soon as they arrive in a less crowded part of the place, Chaeyoung let go of her hand much to Lisa's dismay. Chaeyoung looked at her, her expression still blank, and Lisa wished they are in a different situation right now.
"What do you want to talk about?" Chaeyoung asked in an ice-cold voice. Lisa almost flinched when she heard Chaeyoung's voice, but was not she the one who was cheated on? Where did Chaeyoung get the audacity to treat her like this?
"Why?" Lisa asked, she wants to sound as cold as Chaeyoung but her eyes gave her in, as she looks at the woman longingly.
"Why?" Chaeyoung asked back, a little confused. This made Lisa regain her composure.
"Why did you do what you did three years ago?" Lisa asked, her anger creeping in.
"Lisa, it has been three years. I don't think it matters anymore." Chaeyoung stated dismissively. The statement made the doe-eyed woman irritated? Does Chaeyoung even know how much she suffered? Does Chaeyoung even know how many times she cried herself to sleep? How could she sound so dismissively as if it is nothing important when it was the thing that haunt Lisa for three long years.
"It matters to me, Chaeng. I do not care if it has been long overdue, I need answers, explanations. I need to know if you loved me." Lisa said. She badly wants to sound as ice-cold as Chaeyoung, but she cannot. Yes, she is mad, she is so damn mad at the woman but her feelings towards Chaeyoung is still so strong to be ignored.
Chaeyoung sighed, defeatedly. Her demeanor softening.
"Lisa, you should let it go... you must move on" The bride stated as she rubbed Lisa's arm. The doe-eyed woman shook her head in disbelief.
"Chaeng, I can't... I, I still lo-" Lisa pleaded her, a tear falling down her cheek, followed by another and another, until she cannot take it anymore and just let her tears flow in front of Chaeyoung. She hates crying in front of her because it makes her look vulnerable, and she wants to look tough towards Chaeyoung but obviously, she failed miserably.
"I am a married woman now, Lisa. There is no turning back." Chaeyoung said cutting Lisa's sentence. Chaeyoung's ice-cold demeanor has now vanished and seeing Lisa like that makes her close to crying too, but not because she still loves Lisa, but because she pities the woman. Out of all the things she had done, Lisa still loves her, and it guilts her so much, but what can she do? She does not love Lisa anymore.
"Do you love him?" Lisa asked weakly, Chaeyoung did not answer. She had done much damage to the Thai woman she cannot let herself break the woman's heart again.
"You can still leave him" Lisa persuaded. Holding Chaeyoung's hands, cheeks tainted by tears.
"Lisa, I love him" Chaeyoung said, looking into Lisa's eyes. This shattered Lisa but she loves the woman so much, she does not want to give her up. She only pictures herself with Chaeyoung. With Chaeyoung only and no one else.
"Why? What about me?" Lisa asked.
"Lisa...." Chaeyoung said her voice breaking. Chaeyoung does not want to see Lisa like this. She hates to see Lisa breaking down.
"Chaeng, please. I love you" Lisa said hugging Chaeyoung tightly, Chaeyoung let Lisa hug her, she closed her eyes as a tear fall down her cheek. She made Lisa like this; she hopes she can still fix the woman, but she knows she cannot. She cannot let herself be mad at Lisa because in the first place, she was the one who have done Lisa wrong, that made the woman quit Med School, that made Lisa quit living entirely.
