I sat in Elijah's apartment desperately waiting for his return. He's been gone all day and I haven't seen him in a week! I was planning on surprising him today so I got all dressed up, but it seems like it was for nothing. Amid my moping, I heard the door slam shut.

Could that be him?

Confirming my question, there stood Elijah. In his suit and all of its glory, but why was he out until 3 am.

"Excuse me! Elijah, where the hell have you been?"

"y/n go to the room, please. I'll be there in a moment."

"No! Do you want to tell me why you're all dressed up at 3 am!"

"y/n please."

"Elijah. You never want to talk to me anymore and you've been acting weird these past two weeks."

"Here goes nothing," he said before turning to face me. My eyes widened when I saw blood all over his suit and some was still on his mouth.

What the actual hell.

"Oh my god, are you okay?!"

I can't believe that was my first instinct.

"y/n! How could you ask if I'M okay? I'm covered in someone else's blood."

Shit.

"Um. I- I."

"Its time I told you. It's going to take a while so if you could please sit for a second. I didn't kill anyone by the way, if that's what you're thinking."

So I did. He got cleaned up and proceeded to explain everything. For example, HES A FREAKING VAMPIRE AND IS CENTURIES OLD. I laughed when he told me but then he showed me his fangs and his terrifying "blood" eyes.

"You mentioned at least twenty people dying in your story. I'm just a human, what if someone tries to come for me."

"I would protect you, love, always."

"But I don't want to be helpless. I want to fight for myself."

"I knew you would say something like that" he chuckled and continued "So, I could teach you how to fight."

"That would be so cool! When do we start?"

"Well, I don't know about you but I'm exhausted. After a good night's rest, we can start tomorrow."
