This was a request for Boonivr The request was for a soulmate au with the It's Our Life pair aka ShimaSaka and I'll explain the specific au before we start after my other notes~

I'm without wifi rn so sadly this was written on my phone within like an hour or so, and I feel like I could have done more but my pea sized brain has very little of an attention span rn ww

SO I HOPE THIS WAS STILL OKAY

I apologize ahead of time for the very...interesting part ww It was requested but it's still sfw~

Soulmate au where if you dye your hair, any hair on your body, it will change for your soulmate too. Example. If you dye your hair blue, your soul mate's will at that exact moment as well

Ah~ Finally! Today was the day of Shima's interview. He was all dressed in his best suit he had cleaned and ironed himself that morning, his hair looked perfect- as always...he was ready to walk into that interview and walk out with a job. How hard could it be?

Once his name was called to step into the room, the purple haired flashed the interviewers each a big, bright white smile as he opened the door and just as he had stepped through that door...his hair turned into a bright shade of bubblegum pink. It was no longer the purple he was born with.

Yet Shima hadn't noticed and walked into the room as if nothing had just happened at all.

"Does this look like a joke to you...sir?" One of the interviewers raised their eyebrows at Shima while his coworker beside him tried his best to keep from falling from his chair laughing.

"I'm sorry?" Shima blinked his eyes and stared at them all, honestly confused.

What were they talking about?

"If you can't at least show up with...appropriate hair then I'd suggest you'd leave. Good day." Just like that, Shima was thrown out of the office without another word.

What the hell?

When he had applied and showed them his ID, they knew from the beginning his hair was odd colored...it was purple! What was wrong with that? Surely there must have been a mistake?

Feeling an urgent need to understand what the hell had exactly happened, Shima rushed towards one of the public bathrooms to look at himself in the mirror. When he did...he could feel his blood start to boil.

His hair was bright pink! Shima knew this-that soulmate thing. Where if one half dyed their hair a different color, it would mirror over to the other half.

First of all...who the hell would use such an atrocious color...and second, at this early in the morning? He lost his job because of this so-called soulmate of his! They had to pay somehow, soulmate or not...wasn't that only fair?

Smirking to himself, Shima got an idea.

Whistling as left the building as if nothing had just happened, Shima headed home...but with one stop to make first~

Yawning the next morning, Sakata stretches his arms out dramatically and nearly falls from his bed in the process. He had slept in too late...yesterday he was hanging out with some friends of his from early morning until late at night because they 'swore they all had nothing else better to do.' Which wasn't entirely wrong...but it still took a lot out of a guy!

They had even dared him to dye his hair pink after he lost a game! Would you believe that!?

The redhead was just about to change from his night clothes into something more suitable for work when just as he pulled down his pants to change he noticed something...odd. A color that certainly was NOT there before.

His pubic hair...was now neon yellow.

Cheeks flaring up the color of his hair, Sakata screamed loud enough to wake up his neighbors and panic called his best friend to find out if this was some sort of weird sickness or if one of them did something to him before he fell asleep.

"Oh?" The voice on the other line chuckles amused. Urata, Sakata's best friend who had put up with his shit for who knows how many years. "Haven't you heard of the soulmate thing? Ah, speaking of. Yours probably has pink hair now, that poor sucker~"

"Ura! That's mean!"

"So is me hanging up on you to deal with your own problems, good luck Sakata~" Urata hums while disconnecting the call, leaving Sakata alone to suffer.

Sighing, Sakata chooses just to ignore this for now and to just get dressed and hurry off to work. It wasn't like he would suddenly meet his soulmate out of nowhere...would he?

"It's you!" Shima suddenly points at Sakata in the middle of a busy sidewalk, causing some people to stop and stare at him, unsure of who the man was talking to.

Blinking a few times confused, Sakata turns his head from side to side to see who was talking until he saw amethyst eyes staring straight towards him. Tilting his head to the side, Sakata points a finger at himself and mouths, 'me?'

"Yes you. Come here. I need to get a better look at you." Shima pulls Sakata over to an alley that was still well lit enough to see.

"Amazing. Your hair really is pink. Just like mine…" Shima whistles, amazed. "Wait a second, I should be mad here! You ruined my intervi-hey! Where are you putting your hands!" Shima's face turns just as pink as his hair was when he noticed Sakata had stretched out the fabric of his pants just to check one simple thing…

"It really is neon...just like mine! So it was you!" Instead of being angry, the redhead was filled with happiness over having found his soulmate in such an odd and surprisingly convenient way and pulled the shorter male into a hug.

"Ah! Before I forget...what's your name?" Sakata questions, breaking the hug.

"Shima. Yours?" The shorter grins back, Sakata's cheerfulness becoming contagious.

"Sakata~! So...Maa-chan!" Sakata giggles and attaches himself to Shima's arm. "Come to work with me! I'll treat you to something nice for ruining your interview…" The redhead frowns, feeling bad for what his friends had done.

"Don't worry about that~ But….I will take the free food~" Shima chuckles and grins back, letting Sakata lead him away.

An odd, yet colorful start to a relationship.
