Mario woke up one day and went to the kitchen to eat some breakfast. Luigi was already in the kitchen, eating a plain bowl of cereal at the table.

"Morning, Mario!" Luigi said with a wave as Mario entered the kitchen.

"Hi, Luigi..." Mario replied, slightly groggy from having just woken up. He took a look inside the refrigerator, but gasped in horror. This got Luigi's attention, and it spooked him a lot.

"Mario? What is it?! Is something wrong?!" Luigi got up from the table and ran to the refrigerator where Mario was and peered in. There was nothing out of place though. Luigi was confused and peered towards Mario.

"Uh, what's exactly wrong with the fridge? It looks fine to me." Luigi asked.

"Are you kidding me?! You don't see it?!" Mario asked, clearly in distress.

"Uh, no."

"Luigi, we're all out of spaghetti!" Mario shouted, becoming more distressed. Luigi's face changed from confusion to anger.

"Really?! You cause me to almost get a panic attack over spaghetti?! Who the hell even eats spaghetti for breakfast?! Just get some cereal!"

"No! We must get spaghetti!" Mario said, stamping his foot. To Luigi, he looked little kid who didn't get to be the line leader, which probably made the situation slightly funny, but he was still angry at Mario. He tried once again to dissuade him.

"Mario, listen. You're acting like a child right now. Quit whining about the spaghetti and just get so- hey!" Luigi was cut off from his sentence when Mario picked him up and threw him over his shoulder, carrying him to their shared bedroom. "Mario, what the hell?!"

"We're going to the store." Mario simply replied, a smirk growing on his face.

"What? No! There are plenty of foods more appropriate for breakfast than spaghetti! Please, just get something else!" Luigi groaned.

"Nope, we're going to the store to buy some spaghetti. Besides, what are we going to have for lunch and dinner?"

"We're going to have... uh..." Luigi trailed off. He didn't actually know what they were gonna have for dinner. In fact, he was pretty sure there wasn't food for dinner. Mario's smirk grew more.

"Exactly, Mario concluded, "that's why we need to go to the store." Luigi groaned at Mario, knowing that he was right.

"Fine! We'll go to the store! But we're buying food other than spaghetti too!"

"Deal."

"Can you put me down now? I need to get dressed."

"Yup." With that, Mario gently threw Luigi onto the bottom bunk of their buck bed, and the brothers got dressed.
