"Water?", 10K insisted holding a full bottle out towards Abigail. She shook her head and continued to walk along in silence. Several days had passed and she had refused to eat or drink. The group had been on foot for hours and she was becoming severely dehydrated.

"Take the god damn water!", Addison snapped.

"Why?", Abigail asked, speaking for the first time in days.

"Because this isn't what he would have wanted", she whispered.

"Oh really? And what exactly did Mack want? Did he want to die searching for an ungrateful asshole, who just happens to be the saviour of humanity? Because I know for a fact he didn't! I know for a fact that he was done with this mission and was only sticking around because of us!", Abigail ranted angrily, causing everyone to stop and stare at her.

"Maybe this would be a good time for one of those therapy sessions we talked about?", Doc suggested.

"You're willing to try therapy again?", Addison asked in surprise.

"I was, but now I'm not too sure. Are you sure you were a real therapist?", Abigail glared over at Doc, who nodded. "So you just forgot about the whole confidentiality part then?", she growled.

"My bad, I didn't know we were keeping it hush-hush", Doc apologized. Abigail rolled her eyes at him, before catching 10K staring down at her.

"You don't have to look at me like I'm crazy", she muttered, turning away from him.

"I wasn't, you just never told me you'd gone to therapy", he sighed sadly, wishing she would open up to him. He didn't know what else he could do to earn her trust, he was trying to be patient, but every time she pushed him away it got harder.

"How much longer are we gonna stand around and listen to the children work through their relationship issues?", Vasquez, the group's newest member cut in, visibly irritated. "We aren't back in high school! We're on a mission and they're going on about therapy and shit, you two need a good dose of reality!", he added as Abigail slowly turned her gaze towards him. Before she could speak Roberta stepped forward.

"First of all, these "children" are just trying to figure out who they are, except they're doing it during a damn apocalypse. Secondly, this group has experienced enough of this so-called reality to last us several lifetimes, so don't push us. We will get where we're going at our own pace", Roberta's voice was firm as she spoke and it left Vasquez speechless.

"Plus! I don't remember anyone asking you to come along!",Murphy cut in.

"Enough! Do you guys see what I see?", Roberta yelled, pointing straight ahead. A thick cloud of smoke was billowing up over the hillside, this prompted the group to creep forward until the source of the smoke came into view.  A man was knelt down beside an overturned car and holding his gun out in front of him. They watched as an apocalyptic transport truck, hauling a trailer full of cars, came barreling down the road towards the man. Several other vehicles drove behind it, and they all came to a rolling stop in front of the overturned car.

"It's going to be a slaughter", Addison predicted, watching everyone pull out their guns. The man with the smoking car was soon joined by others, as they tried to overthrow the group with the transport.

"Should we help them?", Doc quietly asked Roberta, who nodded.

"Think less like a missionary and more like mercenary,  let's wait and steal the vehicles from the victor", Vasquez insisted, earning angry glares from the others.

"We might not be able to save the world but we might be able to save them. 10 and Vasquez, that way! Addy, you're with me! Doc and Abby, you watch him and her!", Roberta gave everyone orders, pointed at Murphy and Cassandra, and then ran towards the gunfire.
