"I hate him! He's the worst!"
Hermione sighed. "Is that all your going to talk about!"
Harry shook his head. "I'm done talking about that asshole." He said. Ron smiled. "Good. I don't need another year like last year. He was all you ever talked about!"
Harry sighed. "What do you mean?"
Hermione scowled. "He was all you talked about. Malfoy this and Draco that. It gets so aggravating. But not this year. Right?"
Harry nodded. "I guess."
Just as he said that Draco bumped into Harry.
"Watch where your going Malfoy!"
Draco stopped. "Oh I was. Better pick up your books before class starts." He laughed. Right on time the class bells rung. "Oops to late."
Harry grumbled to himself and picked up his textbooks.
Hermione and Ron leaned down to help him. "Honestly it's almost like you love him or something."
Harry glared at him. "Why would you even think that!"
Hermione giggled. "It is a bit strange and preposterous." She said. Harry sighed. "You get the craziest ideas Ron Weasley."
"Then why do you stare at him?" Ron Weasley asked.
"I do not!"
Hermione held up her hand to command silence. "Talk later in 30 seconds we're late for class."
Hermione used a spell to teleport them to defence against the dark arts class.
Snape glared at them. "Ah a cheat code. Take your seats. NOW!"
Hermione, Ron, and Harry sat in their seats.
A smug Draco smirked at Harry gaining a scowl. Hermione elbowed him. "Stop it. Do your work."
Harry reluctantly tore his eyes away from the blonde.
Snape began his lesson. Harry didn't hear much of what he was saying. He was to busy in his own head.
He thought about to much fir his own good. And the places his mind would go was a little to crazy for his liking.
"Harry?" A voice asked jolting him out of his mind.
Harry's head jolted up. "Huh?"
Snape sighed. "Not paying attention I presume?" He said with a bored expression.
Harry shook his head. Snape raised an eyebrow. He knew Harry was lying but he wanted to test the boy.
"So then Harry, since you payed attention what spell is 'Ventiasima'?"
"Um the answer is..."
Harry racked his brain for an answer. Think Harry think.
Ventiasima? Hermione had talked all about that spell. It was a translation spell!
"A translation spell sir."
Snape hesitantly nodded. "Please perform the spell for the class."
"But everyone in here speaks English sir." He tried. Snape laughed. "I assume you must not have noticed the lion in the classroom then?"
Harry turned and to his shock there was a lion. It was sitting there bored with no interest in anything except the apple he was playing with.
Harry pointed to the hand Hermione had raised. "Perhaps she would do better as she's more eager."
Hermione waved the hand in the air.
Snape shook his head. "No no. I know Hermione knows but that's not what I want to know. I want to know if you know. So please translate the fuc- lion."
Harry hesitantly got up and walked to the front of the classroom.
On the way up Draco slipped him something.
Harry pretended to fall behind a desk Snape couldn't see him through and opened it.
"Flip your wand twice say 'Ventiasima' and point to the lion." The note said.
Harry got up and raised an eyebrow at Draco Malfoy. Why was he helping me?
Snape cleared his throat. "Any day now Mr. Potter."
Harry sighed and walked up the the front. He'd just have to pray Malfoy hadn't fucked him over.
Harry flipped his wand twice just as the note had said. "Ventiasima." And he pointed at the lion.
The lion sighed. "I miss my girlfriend."
"What happened to her?"
The lion looked up in surprise. "You can understand me?" Harry nodded. "What happened to her?"
The lion sighed. "She was killed."
Harry gasped. "What! That's horrible."
The words of the lion faded until he could no longer understand it. Snape turned to him. "What did he say?"
Harry frowned. "His girlfriend died."
Snape nodded. "Huh. Guess I was mistaken. No matter take your seat."
Harry took his seat. Ron looked at him. "How did you know? I could tell you were in your head."
Harry crumpled up the note in his pocket and shrugged. "I remembered Hermione talking about it."
Hermione smiled obviously pleased that I had remembered one of her teachings.
Soon after that class ended. Ron and Hermione scrambled up and to the door.
Ron stopped when he noticed Harry wasn't with them. "You coming?"
Harry nodded. "Yeah I'll be out in a minute." He said. Hermione and Ron nodded and left.
When Harry was sure they were home he walked up to Draco.
Draco glared at him. "Potter."
Harry rolled his eyes. "Why'd you help me? You slipped me that note so Snape wouldn't know that I didn't know why?"
The blonde shrugged. "I don't know."
Harry raised an eyebrow. "There must have been some reason."
Draco shook his head. "Are you going to keep fucking talking or can I go." He said. Draco got up and walked towards the door.
He paused. "If you know what's good for you keep your fucking mouth shut Potter."
With that he left.
Harry soon followed after. It didn't make sense. Why had Malfoy done something nice?
Harry knew he should just let it go but it bothered him. Draco as nice seemed unreal.
He couldn't even imagine a remotely kind Draco.
And as weird as it seemed Harry couldn't help but wonder if the blonde was okay.
