Chapter • 05 | With All Do Respect

*Seconds later*

I screamed because of what sounded like gunshots and immediately hid behind the Colby and Jake...

Y/n: "What the fuck was that?!"
Colby: "Gunshots!"
Jake: "OH FUCK! SAM!"

Without hesitation, they both ran to a nearby table where they each picked up a handgun and ran towards the door...

Colby: "Y/n stay here and don't come out until I tell you, you hear me?! Go hide in that room over there!"

I immediately nodded and ran towards the room as he and Jake ran outside to Sam. In the room there happened to be a closet in which I ended up hiding in. I was so scared, I had never, in my life, been in a situation as horrifying as this.

*Colby's POV*

As Jake and I ran outside we immediately saw Sam hiding behind a nearby table that happened to be flipped on its side and a lowrider car full of guys who were shooting at him. But as soon as Jake and I shot back at them with Sam, they got scared and sped off...

Jake: "Bro! What the fuck just happened?!"
Sam: "What do you mean what happened? I JUST GOT FUCKING ROBBED, THATS WHAT HAPPENED!!"
Colby: "WHAT?!"
Jake: "FUCK!"

Jake kicked the nearby table...

Colby: "What'd they take?!"

Sam looked me dead in the eye...

Sam: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT'D THEY TAKE?! WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY FUCKING TOOK?!"

And that's when it hit me...

Colby: "...Sam, please tell me you didn't."
Sam: "You know what? I'm not gonna stand here and do this with you WHEN YOUR THE ONE WHO FUCKING TOLD ME TO GO GRAB THE DUFFLE BAGS OUT OF THE FUCKING VAN IN THE FIRST PLACE!!"
Colby: "SON OF A FUCKING BITCH!!"

Out of anger, I punched whatever I could find nearby...

Jake: "Well, we're screwed!"
Colby: "*Scoff* Yeah! 8.2 million dollars DOWN THE FUCKING DRAIN! JUST LIKE THAT, LIKE IT WAS NOTHING!"
Sam: "Well MAYBE IF YOU HADN'T BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THEIR FUCKING LEADER AT THE BAR LAST NIGHT, TRYING TO IMPRESS YOUR LITTLE GIRLFRIEND THAT YOU MET, THEN THEY WOULDNT HAVE ROBBED US AND WE WOULDN'T EVEN BE IN THIS FUCKING SITUATION RIGHT NOW!"
Colby: "First off, she ISN'T my girlfriend and I WASN'T trying to impress her, I was standing up for myself and trying to not look like a pussy! And lastly, DON'T FUCKING BRING HER INTO THIS! I ALWAYS keep my god damn mouth shut about Katrina and the shit she does so you wanna start shit? Then we can start shit if not I suggest you keep your fucking mouth shut if you know what's good for you!"

Trying to control myself, I began to walk off and head back inside when I noticed Corey ride up with a few of our friends. But as I headed back inside, I went into the office and began looking for Y/n when I then found her hiding in the closet...

Colby: "You can come out now..."
Y/n: "T-They're gone?"

I nodded and extended my hand out to her as she grabbed it and I helped her up...

Y/n: "You okay? You seem upset..."
Colby: "Yeah. Just got some stuff going on with the guys right now."
She slowly nodded and grabbed her things...
Y/n: "Listen, I-I'm gonna go. Like I said last night, I really don't wanna be associated with whatever this is. It scared me and you got your jacket back so I think that maybe...we should go our separate ways. You do you and I'll do me."

She began walking towards to office door as I stood there kinda shocked at what she just said because in a way it felt like I just got dumped...

Y/n: "Good luck with whatever it is your going through, maybe I'll see you around someday, thanks for everything..."

Before I even had a chance to tell her anything, she quickly walked out of the room and made a phone call on her way to the door and left.

*A Few Minutes Later*

As I continued to walk on my car, trying to blow off some steam, Sam walked over...

Sam: "I'm sorry man but...I'm done."

I stopped in the middle of what I was doing as I heard him say those words and looked at him...

Colby: "W-What do you mean, your done?"
Sam: "I'm over it, I dont wanna do this anymore! I dont wanna be apart of the gang anymore, especially not after all the shit the happened today. This gang is becoming more and more toxic, my own girlfriend is scared of me not just her but so is my family and with all do respect, I think your letting it get to your head."

Hearing those words coming from him, my best friend, hurt. I wasn't expecting him to ever be able to tell me something like that...

Sam: "I love you man but...this ain't for me anymore, at least not right now."

Without giving me a chance to respond, we grabbing his things and walked out the door, leaving me standing there.
