Harry was undeniably the happiest man alive right now. He finally got a hold of his dream girl. However, he couldn't enjoy it to the fullest because of a shit-eating hole inside him that wallowed guilt deep within his heart. Sure, he did use Y/N to get closer to Louise, but it's not like he intended to hurt her this much—he just wanted to be with Louise.

It sucks knowing that the woman he wanted was already taken long before they met. Louise had a long-time boyfriend and Harry vowed to himself that he will be patiently waiting for the day he could finally swoop in and have her in his arms. But for the meantime, he had loads of lonely nights to fill and that was when Y/N came along.

He thought she was cute. Harry didn't think of her the way he did Louise when they first met and that was Y/N's first mistake. He could tell by the slight glimmer in her eyes and the breathless intake of her voice meant that she was stunned at his—and not to toot his own horn—charming looks. Let's be honest, Harry was far from being ugly.

And that was her own fault.

Harry didn't force her to like him and certainly didn't expect her to be so upfront about it, especially since she was a shy and timid person. So when she confessed her feelings to him one night, his gentle nature couldn't help but sugar-coat a few his true intentions. There was no way that he could get close to Louise on his own, especially with Brandon eyeing him down—granted that he knew Harry found his girlfriend attractive.

The next best step was to get closer to someone that knew her best—surely better than Brandon did. That was Harry's plan to win Louise over.

In the beginning, he was subtle with Y/N's hesitant touches and soft kisses to the cheek. He made sure that Louise was around to witness their affectionate exchange, except—she only smiled at them, truly happy for Y/N.

"Har, can I talk to you for a sec?" Louise nudged his arm with her elbow, chin tilting towards a private room.

It made Harry's whole body tingle with excitement. Well, that didn't take long.

As soon as the door shut close, Harry stepped closer to her but still kept a decent space between them.

It was finally happening.

Needless to say, Harry didn't expect Louise to be so supportive of their relationship.

"I'm really glad that you gave Y/N a chance," She began. "I know that she's a bit shy but you're bringing out the good in her,"

So Harry tried harder–made his efforts double as time passed. He kissed Y/N a little harder, gripped her frame a little tighter and spewed even sweeter nothings in her ear or out loud—all in front of Louise. It made Y/N a teeny bit suspicious but what did she know about relationships? This was her second one and she ought to enjoy it the best she can. It was pathetic (in hindsight) because not once did Louise spare a glance at him and it made his heartache and quell for a relief.

Nothing was working and everything he did for the show became a habit in private which certainly proved Y/N doubts and suspicions wrong. Y/N was becoming more comfortable with Harry while he conjured up another fiasco in as Y/N rested her head in his chest to cuddle.

Harry remembers looking down at her head of hair as she giggled slightly at the scene on the screen, wondering what only Y/N knew about Louise that would make her feel more comfortable around him. He reminisces Y/N asking him what was wrong when his chest caved in a hiccup, stirring him out of his thoughts of her best friend.
