She's Not Afraid

Heya! I'm back with yet another attempted story. I really really hope this story will get finished, unlike my other fails that I've deleted because they're pointless discontinued stories. Feedback would really, really help me along, as will votes. :D If any of you have any ideas for my story or anything  can improve on, post a comment and I'll work on it! Prologue

~Liam~

Liam Payne was sprawled across the floor of the large, high-ceiling room, during the band’s rehearsal break. He was lying on his back, scrolling through Twitter on his phone.

Harry was pounding a drumstick against a drum while he bit off a large chunk of his banana. Josh was sitting on his drum stool, watching Harry in amusement, and caution hidden in his irises as he eyed the way Harry was handling his drum sticks. Louis and Zayn was sparring with invisible swords, laughing and making ridiculous sounds as they fought, imaginatively falling to the floor during their battle. Niall was laughing loudly as he watched on the sidelines of Zayn and Louis’s fight, holding his phone steadily and recording the battle between the two British boys.

Liam’s eyes curiously caught an enthusiastic tweet on his Twitter timeline, and it didn’t involve him or the boys like many did. He had followed so many fans that his timeline was rather inhabited by excited fangirling and barely let him catch tweets by personal friends and his own idols.

Liam’s brows furrowed in interest and he opened the YouTube link to the mystery video, the girl’s tweet repeating in his mind like a cryptic puzzle. Who was Arianna Tate? How was she famous?

Eventually the video loaded, and Liam shuffled into a sitting position when it began playing.

A middle-aged woman appeared on his phone screen, smiling at the camera. She took a deep breath and opened her mouth. “On Friday night, in Melbourne, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a traditional Lennon Bros Circus. Apart from the classic clown tricks and acrobats overhead – there was one particular talent I had looked forward to.

“Arianna Tate is a young eighteen year old performer for Lennon Bros Circus. By heritage, Arianna has grown up on the road, and since she was a little girl she has been a part of the circus. Travelling the Australian countryside her entire life, Arianna began performing in the circus when she was five years old, as an act along with monkeys. Arianna took interest in singing several years later and she has transferred from her monkey act to her very own special show since. Since her act has spread across the country, the teenager has brought in her won crowds and fans, who pay the entry fee just to see the last several minutes of the circus, when Arianna performs to her audience.” The woman smiled again, “I was lucky enough to have the chance to sit down and speak with the young girl.”

The screen flickered from the studio setup to an interview arrangement, with two seats facing each other in a living room setting. The same interviewer was standing before her seat, as she welcomed a gorgeous teenager – whom Liam assumed was Arianna Tate.

She had sandy-blonde tendrils tumbling over her shoulder in a loose braid, and her skin was naturally tanned by the famous Australian sun. She had a trending fashion sense, and she wore high-waisted crimson red shorts, and a white button up tank shirt with a black rounded collar. Liam caught a brief glimpse of her black high converse, and he found that he liked her style. Although her shorts could be considered daring, he found that she somehow wore them modestly.
